It's more wishful thinking than anything. People want to see some new blood in St. Paul. It's not that hard to pick Warroad every game.

Besides, if Warroad had balls they'd be in AA with their arch rivals trying to oust Moorhead every year. Since they don't seem to want to schedule the middle to lower tier teams in 8A, I honestly don't know what they're waiting for. Every team wants to play the best, and I understand that, but if you're so much better than to not schedule half the teams in your Section, why are you still in Class A?
Roseau Went AA so they didnt have to face warroad to go to state. Some of the cities AA schools have more students in a senior class than the population of Warroad. I think they are fine where they're at.

and........Roseau is a better team now... population isnt that big of a factor when students come to warroad to play.....hard to base a team on population....it does have a factor but EVERY 8a town especially is small and dont have students coming to play hockey...but its true that warroad isnt CLOSE to the caliber they were at a few years ago. All Warroad plays is AA teams so why dont they just move over there....if they are"that" good they should have no worries...cause I dont ever see em on middle caliber 8a teams schedules.....

 That's quite possibly the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Everybody knows Roseau would rather face Warroad every year than to deal with Moorhead to get to St. Paul. I honestly don't know why Roseau went AA, but I respect them for doing it. If Warroad isn't going to schedule their section opponents, they should follow suit.

Has the play been pretty even or just the score?

Just listened to the end of the period, and it sounds like Warroad is outplaying them. They didn't say the shots on goal.

After one period the Warroad "hit meter" should be right around the mid 30's.

Looks like Park had too much time to sit around and think about how reachable state could be.

I didn't see this result coming.

Watched the first two periods. Warroad took it to them in every aspect of the game. Park maybe had one shot in the first, had a few chances in the second with Lehrke getting shut down on a breakaway.

And now I don't care which one of the "big three" wins. I just hope who ever it is keeps the thunder roling and brings a title home from St. Paul. 8)
