Well Done EP Black congratulations! Keep it up

funny how the armchair hockey coaches come out this time of the year.
Funny how they don't realize the real coaches have a pretty good grasp of the situation at hand.

Nice job by the EP goalie tonite. (This is not a suprise) All 4 EP B1 goalies are solid competitors..... And the Edina goalies looked darn good also the last 2 nights giving up only 5 goals in two games. (Edina vs. Edina and Edina vs. EP Black).

Laveville South over Rochester Black 5-1, #-o Black came off a big win vs Woodbury and comes out flat? Black also beat LS earlier in the season by a 3 goal margin. Playoff hockey for ya.

And Rochester Red 2, River Heights 1, with 10 minutes left in the 3rd

Woodbury over Hastings 6-3

From D3:

Wayzata Gold over Cooper/Armstrong 4-1

Wayzata Blue over Brooklyn Park 4-1

Gold and Blue play Saturday for final Regional spot.

My money is on Wayzata.

If Blue and Gold are playing for the final spot, who are the other 2 teams already in?

Only the winner goes to regions. One will be in and one will be out. The following game with the loser of the championship game will determine seeding #2 or #3.

Correct me if I am wrong, but here's what I read for D3:

Maple Grove and Blake play for the Champiionship and #1 seed. (Sat. 8p @ Orono)

Blue and Gold play for the final spot to Regions. (Sat. 6:15p @ Orono)
The winner will play the MG/Blake loser for the the #2/#3 seeding to the West Regional with D6 and D5. (Sun. 7:15p @ Orono)

All of this stuff is on each Districts website. Best place to start is www.minnesotahockey.org and click on E-Directory.

Anyone from D5 read this Board? Why is Sartell not even in the playoffs? Even if they are an automatic bid to Regionals, wouldn't they play for a Playoff Championship? Do they get the #1 seed for D5 for being League Champs?

Wblorange and Moundsview tonight. Orange wins. Moves to 3rd place game. Moundsview out.

Wblblack and Stillwater for d2 cship Sat. 3:30pm. Stillwater wins go to East regional.

The two Wbls play Sun. Morn. Orange wins and goes to east regional, Black takes 3rd and goes to south regional.

Thats how I see it.

Nice run Eagleguy!! As somebody who is associated with a team that you knocked out of the playoffs, I can only admire how your team has hit their stride at the right time of the year. It never ceases to amaze me that if hockey is played the right way (with your heart and your head) what can be accomplished, i.e. wild card making it into regions. It really shows the leadership that your captains and the coaches bring to the table. Good luck!!

Besides playing with your heart and your head, you need love, and tomASS wouldn't give us any.

EP Black 3
EP Red 0

One empty, short handed, 6-4 goal for black. They will play Red again tomorrow. Black just looked better all around. Red never got a good scoring chance after midway through the second. Black's goalie played well. Red's played well, too. Good game.
