Gonna have to disagree with you on this one, but we will have to wait and see. I think the Bluejackets from Hibbing will be heading down to the DECC in a rematch with the Hawks of Hermantown. One thing Hibbing has to do is get shots on the Devils tender. Both tend to stop the first puck but give up some big juicy rebounds. Physical play will also be a huge factor as Hibbing has some big hitters and can shut down that first line of the Devils.

Virgina makes it a closer game than the score shows, Hibbing pulls away at the end to a 6-2 victory.

Virginia dosen't have the talent Hibbing does. Virginia has nico and a few others, but Hibbing has all around talent. It seems like the Devils run away when people try to hit them. So if Hibbing plays a little bit of the physical game they should run away with this one.

Wow, I am amazed at how high some of these scores are being predicted. I know Hibbing ran away with the game late the last time these two teams played towards the end, but it doesn't seem like many people feel Virginia will make this a very close game. :? I'll say 5-3 Hibbing with an (EN) at the end. Even though I predict Hibbing to out shoot Virginia something like 45-20. :P

i think in order for virginia to win they will need to stay out of the box. Saccetti needs to play well but the x factor is kischell. If he plays solid d and gets the puck to the fast forwards an overtime victory is possible. might stop over at this game after the hawks and broncos play. Oh predictions.....

Well it ended 5 to 1 in favor of the bluejackets dispite a penalty ratio seemed like 10 to 1 favoring the Blue Devils. So lets hear it!

Also would like to add how bad it got towards the end of the game when pop bottles were bein thrown on the ice. talk about sportsmanship!

Great Job Bluejackets!!!!

as i said in the other thread.. virginia was one of the least classy teams i've seen.. from the team to the fans they showed no class what so ever and they have a loss to show for it. i loved the lady behind the hibbing penalty box.. grow up please. and when marchuk was sieved.. get a clue you were losing! i'm glad to see virginia out of it..

This game could of easily ended up in running time if Hibbing didn't have to play so much pk. Cant blame them though, the refs lost control of this one. Hibbing played a solid game and the physical play shut down virginias go to guys and eventually got into the whole teams heads because virginia started playing real ugly hockey. I counted a number of dives taken by virginia players. Stompahar i felt was the best player on the ice tonight with i think 2 goals. Hibbing took it to virginia 5 on 5 also playing it like it was pretty much a powerplay.

This game did get out of hand with the devils showing absolutely no class. Kapella flattened a kid who TRIED to hit him and thats what started it all. Virginia went after them and then #28 threw the cheapshot from behind with the headlock from the bench. I liked how he was hiding behind the coach after that. Give Kapella credit for keeping his cool as he will be a huge factor in the final.

As for the fans, i agree with you guys, zero class. Throwing bottles on the ice, thats not hockey, more of a circus. I liked how King just laughed at the kids taunting him. I also saw i believe #21 for hibbing flick of the virginia crowd in the penalty box after he got called for a bogus call. That women should of got an early exit.

In conclusion the better team won tonight. Congrats to the Bluejackets of Hibbing, they have a great chance of going to state and knocking off undefeated Hermantown.

I'm all for intense games. There is nothing better than 2 teams playing physical, and 2 sets of fans going nuts. But that wasn't the case tonight. Virginia/MI-B proved they have no class, and their fans annoy me more than pretty much anything. However, I also think Hibbing didn't prove to be very classy. A few players on Hibbing played like retards, and I hope Coach DeCenzo let's them know that. That amount of penalties will give Hermantown an easy win Wednesday.
Class-act of the game: when the "refs" were sorting out things after the little brawl Anthony DeCenzo and I believe #7 on V/MI-B just sat at the blue line chatting. I think both teams, and their fans, needed to see that these are just kids playing a game. Play physical, play hard, cheer your guts out, but in the end let it go. And now I am off my soapbox.
