This will be the third time these two teams meet this season with Rochester John Marshall taking the first two by scores of 5-1 and 4-3 respectively.

On this 1AA Quarterfinal match-up, I'm going to go with...

Rochester John Marshall - 3
Owatonna - 2

John Marshall will complete the season sweet and send Owatonna home for the year.

Goodew is a pretty good forward and the junior goalie played well last trip to the Rec. Center.

I like the young D for Owatonna and if they can generate a little more presence in front of the net they may be very tough to eliminate.

On the other hand I think Adam Wiesner has been the best individual forward in the area this season. He finds a way to make plays that matter game in and game out. He is smart sees the rink and knows what he can do.

Ben Pirius is also as good a goaltender as any team in the Section has.

along with Yumsaklar and Donohue I think he is as good and some times better.

Should be a fun night in Rochester....

Good Luck to all the guys...

Owatonna at Rochester John Marshall

This will be a one goal game either way. #7 seed Owatonna is much better than their record and JM might be the worst #2 seed in recent memory. As usual it comes down to goaltending.

Last time these two teams met it was a very close game. If Owatonna can keep Wiesner from scoring and don't score on themselves they will win. It will be interesting to see what changes the coaches make if any from a week ago.

JM by 2 (Open Netter). This one is going to be fun to watch beginning to end tonight! Can't wait. I think you will see 4-2, or 5-3 for the final score. Lots of line rushes up and down the ice. Fun fun fun!

Wow that margin of victory surprises me even with two emptynetters.

Owatonna will be back. They are young and really improved throughout the year.

Hats off to Lecy for getting the best hockey out of his team down the stretch.
