don't quite think it's been the Pat White show this year even with
his injury...he's busy looking ahead to joing the NTDP right after, better
not look to far ahead quite yet...
First Ill say why East is a better team. Our Captains (Leis, Trachsel, and Mclean) are a solid leading corps. Leis is one of the most highly developed goalies in high school hockey, rarely does he let in a goal. Trachsel is one of the best defenders in the state, along with experience he is a solid defensive leader. The Goon Squad Defenders of Arbour and Braz are unstopable....and unmovable. Our junior top caliber duos in Keegan and Rob J. are a. fast b. agile and c. snipers. Little Renier makes up for his size with speed and great checking. And last is my favorite player to watch, the fan favorite Mr. Adam Essling. Hes a great dangler who combines speed with raw talent. With one of the best shots on the team he is easily the "goal scorer" of the group.
My prediction is The Greyhounds of Duluth East-5

I think it's Duluth's last night of hockey until November. Buckle up hounds, GR is going to win by two!

see you in the finals cloquet, be ready
Wow what is it forum hour At EHS today ?? lotsa noob cakes in here...
And ill wait for the skills competition to see that 100 mph shot... I believe he might win it, but thats only because the record holders little relative from over the hill isnt in it...
Wonder if they make it , if it will be as gratifying as the last time they played in the finals.. Cuz i was watching it from jail for gettin a DUI coming home from my GF's sisters wedding.. I couldnt believe my whole cell block was watchin it, the 2 ot game, and i got let out 2 days b4 state , so i was pumped
i gotta go with east on this one... after seeing how Rapids' defense crumbles under the pressure of a strong offense... much like that of Duluth East, i have a hard time thinking that they can win this game... also i am not very impressed with Pat White this season, although he is a Mr. Hockey finalist, he hasn't been playing as well as he has in the past, and if i recall he had the only goal in the first defeat against east with about 10 seconds left in the game.. that is a time in the game where the opposing teams knows they will win and just kind of stop caring... not very impressive there champ. As for the offense of GR, they lack a depth of speed and skill with the puck, they do handle the puck well in the zone but they cannot get the shots they need, and breakaways usually fail against a strong defense such as that of Duluth East, as GR will often just cross into the zone and either get pinched into the boards or have the puck knocked away and back down into there zone... I'm going with East: 5 GR: 2
The question really is not who will win as it is obvious that it will be East. The only real question is can Rapids keep it somewhat of a game or will it be a total blowout?
