That Moose Lake team has an amazing goaltender... And the young kids are maturing with a year under their belts... Coach is building a nice program there!

I hear they had some very nice young players up there for a couple years now? I woudl think if they retained them that they should be better than average at least?

Just scanning records and schedules and noticed that Silver Bay has played a impressive schedule this year. Alot of games against Top AA schools and A, all close games. I was wondering if there is an upset in the making come Sectional Playoffs? Not much said about Silver Bay - does anyone give them a backing to win 7A. Hibbing seems to be struggling in recent tough games. They are a great team from a great program, are they on the end - ready for an upset.

 WOW ! Things seem to be varwee, varwee quiet in section 7A! I would have hoped to hear something. Seems the other sections have alot of info and opinion to relate.
- I'll just have to say Good Luck to Hibbing and Silver Bay in Sec. Final and what a great AA schedule played for A Teams. I think there are alot of teams that are happy that your both A teams.

Good Luck!!!!

As a non-northern person, I have to say I'm very impressed with Hibbing. I only saw them play two games at the Kaposia, but they're a good-looking team with great fans and obviously great coaches. Their schedule was incredible--16 games total against AA teams (6-8-2), and not just any AA teams. Roseville, GRG, Bemidji, CEC (twice), AHA (twice), and Armstrong are all current or former top 10 teams. Plus 4 or 5 games vs top 10 Class A teams. If anybody can give Blake a run at state, you'd have to think it would be somebody who's been through a rugged schedule like this and by now is fearless. No offense to Alex or Crookston, but their schedules are cheesecake compared to Hibbing's.

It should be an interesting Section Final, Hibbing vs. Silver Bay! Hibbing has a Great team and Great coaching and the fans are super. Hibbings record has been stated already, not more can be said about their tough schedule. I was looking at Silver Bays' schedule-record 14-11-1 and it's not too bad. Playing 8 games against AA schools, Defeating Grand Rapids #9 3-1, splitting with Duluth East, Protor/M/H, and Superior #2 in Wisc. Some of the loses to AA schools were close, Eagan #16 2-0, Cloquet #7 3-0 and to A schools - Warroad #3 1-0, and Hibbing 2-1. It's going to be an entertaining evening in Cloquet on Friday - we'll have to see which team brings on-their-game in the Section Final.
Good Luck to Hibbing and Silver Bay! Both teams deserve a shot at the Big Show and will represent 7A at State.
