Too bad she probably wont be playing hockey much longer if the attitude we saw against AL continues...

She really is good, though...great skater!!

She reminds me of a player AL had for a short time a couple years ago.

Mahtomedi forward Kaylee Sommer and goalie Carly Gorecki.
Both are great looking sophomores and Gorecki was stellar just
last week in beating usual powerhouse SSP. ](*,)

Don't know if anyone has mentioned Lauren Zrust from Blaine - had a chance to see her last night. Wow - was very impressed (3 G/1A). I see she has 47 points (26 G/21A) - pretty impressive stats for a sophomore that plays in a pretty difficult conference.

Gorecki is said to be getting stronger every game and received high praise from many re: SSP game and also played well against my team the 1st time around (17 save SO I believe). We didn't test her last night (1 shot per period) for 1st two periods and she didn't play the third period.

Well I'm sure both are very talented hockey players, CJG2009 wouldnt happen to be Carly J Gorecki that graduates in 2009 That seems a little desperate to comment on yourself when your game play should be doing the talking.

Lauren has now scored at least two goals in her past 6 games, against the likes of Coon Rapids, Anoka, Champlin Park, Andover, North Metro and North St. Paul. She now has 52 points as a sophomore, which as far as I know is tops for her class in the state.

People should be more interested in whats said than who said it, I commented on this board about a friends daughter and all season long the coaches punished her and her parents because they thought she wrote it. People become tend to not look at whats said and try to point fingers at who said it so you shouldn't take there assumptions personally

h'god,

I think people like to put some context on what's said, so although they don't necessarily need to know the exact person, they do like to know where comments are coming from as it determines the objectivity of what's said.

If anyone wants some context on whats said then they should read what else the person has said, I have read what CJG2009 said, I've seen Mahtomedi play many times and agree whole heartedly with what he said and for him to be taking heat about it is not fair and I don't care if Carly is the person posting or someone else because he spoke the truth about her and the truth is the best you can expect from anyone. As for me people can chastise me all they want, but the season has shown that what I said in the fall about HM hockey has come true, so how do you put my comments in context? By taking shots at people and trying to guess who I am? Judge people by whats said and the facts that time has bares out not by some arbatrary guessing game.

Lighten up, I was just giving a reason why people guess.

I just take comments like this personally because a friend of mines daughter has been hurt because of my comments and if I stand up and take credit for what I've said (which I feel is truthful) then my daughter will be the one thats punished next because the coach has already shown how they react.

Let me ask you a question, did you honestly think bad mouthing your schools program in public would get a positive reaction from your coach, team or school?

when something needs to said I say it, I'm not one to sit on my hands, I said the things that I said here directly to face and the coach walked away from me saying nothing, after I spoke to the coach he avoided and still does today, all parant contact. I'm not alone in saying these things and looking back I was right and would say them again, because they needed to be said

Nobody is questioning that, I'm asking what good came of it. Did you think your comments would make things better?

Posting: Don't anonymously post about yourself or your own kid or relative. Don't anonymously badmouth your child's coach in a public forum on private subject matters (like try-outs) - whatever the problems, and every program has them, it will make the situation worse.

My comments were ment to make things better but not much has changed, he still runs an unprofessional operation and the things that changed is there will be less girls skating next year so he succeded in pushing a few more people out of hockey. the coach exposed his lack of professionalism. Maybe the AD will quit playing cards with his coaches and take some action but who knows.

IMHO, by making this a public issue you lost possible allies when it comes to confronting the AD with your concerns.

I think everyone needs to chill out. I started this so I'll end so it to get back on topic. CJG2009 I'm sorry for jumping to conclusions and being a dick. Carly is a great player and I shouldn't have said what I posted, I let a bad day get the best of me, so I'm sorry and let's all drop it and get back to commenting on the thread topic please.

Molly Arola (F)-GRG...only around 25 pts on the year, but she is great at breaking the puck out, working in the corners, and has been very good in the defensive end this year as well.
