Section 1A 2006-7
Moderators: Mitch Hawker, east hockey, karl(east)
I'll choose sides and take Albert Lea too. Northfield has a couple nice forwards and a nice defenceman, but not too much depth after that. AL will need strong play between the pipes and to limit the giveaways. If AL continues their recent strong play it will be a 5-1 game.
I'm going to go out on a limb and say ALL the higher seeds will advance and we know what that means, don't we jet, pickle, swiss, T, hocsocstud, golfreak...AL vs. Austin part III.
You heard it here first. I'll take West over Faribo in the other Semi Final game. I was really impressed with West when they beat AL last week.

Are you angry, using all upper case letters?HOCKEYPUCK1 wrote:THERE IS ONLY ONE TEAM IN THE SECTION WITH 2 OFFENSIVE PLAYERS IN THE TOP 3 AND A GOALIE IN THE TOP 5 ON ESPORTSDESK. AUSTIN IS CLEARLY THE MOST TALENTED TEAM IN SECTION 1 A. THE SAD THING IS THAT THEY HAVE NOT PLAYED A GOOD FULL GAME THIS YEAR ASIDE FROM TWO GREAT PERIODS AT MAYO. GO PACK
Do you know the status of the "injury" to Jenkins?
I will say it again, Austin will probably make the state, but also will probably not get past the first round.
Stats do not matter all the time.

Not knowing a lot about northfield I cant really choose them. AL works hard and knowing some of them I hope they win too. I really cant choose sides because their games are always so close. Like I said earlier it will be a good game to watch as long as the ref's dont take sides. They tend to do that once in a while.

I have been reading this forum for a while but just now during sections decided to get an account. I was at the Albert Lea game and thought that they played an overall good game. Northfield only stood a chance in the first when they scored the first goal and after that AL just took over. And running the score up 13 to 1 is just plain ridiculous.

Section 1A 2006-7
I doubt whether AL will get past Northfield.
