Well, as the bureacrats of the MSHSL scramble to legislate what kind of team they want to win, the great Catholic powers continue their drive towards Lent.

CDH beat the Mustangs of MoundsView 6-0

AHA got a scare from New Prague but won 4-3

HM escaped Richfield 3-2

In an all Catholic affair, BSM 5-2 over TG

16 days until Ash Wednesday, the start of Lent.

Just by coincidence, the sections start at the same time.

Go figure.

The bureacrats of the MSHSL now plot against the good families that have been getting their kids to the rink since they were 5 yrs old and making financial sacrifices to play hockey. They want to get these people who have the audacity to transfer schools. They want to punish the people who make the sport what it is.

Maybe if these same bureacrats spent their time thinking about ways to funnel some of the resources they skim off the top of our efforts back into the sport , we'd be better off.

They do nothing, absolutely nothing, to help at the grass roots level. They sit back and make a million on hockey and then give the money to other sports. In return, we get: "If you switch schools , you cant play" "Nana nana , nana"

But it is against this backdrop that the Catholic teams will slug it out to get to the Holy City and play under the shadow of The Cathedral and win.

Just like last year.

Its gettin closer.

Only 16 more days to Wait Until lent.
