Whether to play juniors or not?
I am being told that i should tryout for a junior team in nahl but im not sure if its worth the risk of two years and maybe not get a scholarship what are some of the reasons why someone shoul play juniors if they could go to college for $15000 and play club hockey for that college or go play juniors and maybe get a half scholarship to a more expensive school far away and still have to play the same $15000 or more???

Well, Before making the committment to the tryout you have to keep in mind that each year each team in the NAHL usually hold 2 open tryouts before there INVITE-ONLY camp where the pick the final roster. In those 2 open camps they atleast 50-60 players in each one that they've asked also besides you and then they narrow it down to about 50 in the Invite-Only camp and who knows how many players are returning from the year before....So Ask yourself if you honestly have a good chance and who knows maybe you could be the lucky 3 or 4 they pick that aren't already tendered or drafted by that team. But from my knowledge the NAHL is much more skilled than college club and they do send quite a few to D1, not as much as USHL obviously but they do send players D1 and D3

NAHL
The NAHL has dropped the number of draft and tendered players to 10 from 15. This will open the door for more kids to make teams off tryouts then ever before. It's still tough, but kids do it all the time.
