They lost to hermantown and Rapids by a combined score of 15-0. If you are the best in the north you don't do that

If you're a top north team, you also don't "not show up to play" just because you had some tough games.

#1 team (not including District 11) will be determined Saturday at noon at the City Arena in Bemidji.

Brainerd vs Bemidji.

Also in consideration - Roseau, Moorhead and Grand Rapids.

Other contenders - Alexandria, Warroad, Crookston, Virginia, and East Grand Forks.

Tough to compare against like opponents. Bemidji beat GR 1-0 & 2-1, but lost to Crookston 5-3 who then lost to GR 3-1, so who the heck knows. It all comes down to who shows up and plays their game. On any given day, anyone can beat anyone. With districts & regions coming up, good luck to all the boys, it's a survival of the fittest.

i dont know why everybody thinks bemidji is so good...the first time we lost 6-1, and they had #18-Mike Reese....then we beat them 2-1 and he wasnt there...he is basically their whole team

GR knocks off Moorehead 4-3 in an ot shootout. Great game to watch. Chances both ways. GR outplayed Moorehead for 2.5 periods after getting dominated early in the first. Fast paced game with limited penalties. GR moves on to the Cloquet tourney in the morning. GR starting to make a case for themselves as a contender.

Who is "everybody"? Most Bemidji chatter is from individuals like yourself. The only cheerleader might be Mr. Elliott. In your 2-1 OT win was it because of your dominant play? Did the Zamboni need to resurface Bemidji's end? Be very proud of your goaltending. What's your gripe with Bemidji? There aren't any Bemidji kids on here trashing anybody. Play your game and good luck in districts. (#18 Mike Rees).

GR states their case again with a second consecutive tourney title. This time over Cloquet 4-2 at the Kerry Roe Memorial in Cloquet. Deserving of a top 5 northern ranking for sure by now. Also second 4 - 0 weekend in a row on the road. Not too shabby.
