This one has low scoring written all over it. CEC has perhaps the best defense in the state. East has a very solid defense as well. Both have good goalies and play good position hockey. I think CEC has a slight edge in offense. I'm gonna take a wild shot at this and say CEC wins 2-1 in OT, but if it is a tie or an East win by a goal, I wouldn't be suprised at all.

I'm glad this one is on FSN. It will save me some gas $$ to make the drive to Cloquet and the hassle of trying to get a seat in the jam-packed CARC. Plus folks around the state can see what a rivalry this really is.

I agree it should be played in the barn like the old days. It is hard enough trying to find a place to watch the game in the REC arena. I can't imagine the barn, it would be jam packed and shaking.

Work on your English my friend. You should have said "a run for their money". Apparently your parents cash can't buy you an education, or did you attend Central?

That should be either "parent's" or "parents' "

What was that about English? I love it when someone, in the process of attacking another individual's language, makes a mistake of their own.

You're also missing a comma between "English" and "my friend". :P

That would be " parents' " - as in plural possessive :) Everyone caught up on their English skills now?

And money can buy you an education - just not a brain to store it in.

They should schedule a future East-Cloquet game at the old barn (similar to how they are going "old school" with the outdoor games). That's when sound had feeling. I enjoyed every game I played in that place.

but then again, he can critique east all he wants, we need acceptable english on the internet, not perfect grammer.

either way, he is from cloquet and statistics dont lie.... cloquet guys are much dumber than kids from duluth east, in terms of statistics of ACT scores and SAT scores, which also judges your success after college too.

so, the only schools that can really correct grammer from people who go to duluth east are... kids from marshall, kids from harbor city international school. From the duluth area that is.

but hey, good try on the grammer approach to tear us apart lumberjack.

try something else.

Well fellas, I guess you've pinned me into a corner here. I hope my posts don't deter you from making future posts about how wealthy you all are. You should be proud of being the cake eaters of a predominately working class town. So go ahead and put yourselves in the same category as the Edina's and Minnetonka's of the world if that makes you feel superior. In the grand scheme of things, your cake isn't much more than a Twinkie.
I would take a team of blue collar kids from Denfeld or Cloquet any day of the week. At least they know what hard work is all about.

You were the one who jumped in and attacked the other user's grammar, and referred to his parents' money. Now you're talking about being "pinned into a corner"? You got punked in this thread and deservedly so.

By the way..... 3>0. I guess hard work in itself doesn't always get it done.

Here is a trivia question for you; what does East have in common with Edina, and what does Cloquet have in common with Minnetonka? Free Twinkie to the first person who has the correct answer. :P

east and edina have won state championships?
cloquet and minntonka have not?
lumberjack, its ambition in life, people from duluth east kids have different ambition in life, such as life after playing hockey as a kid. haha and dont question me on hard work, a great majority of kids at duluth east have jobs. I have a job, and my father was a railroader. now dont tell me what hard work is about, its the ambitition which got him to the promotions filled with much hard work. not living paycheck by paycheck with only a GED.

call us and me a cake eater all you want, but fact of the matter is, every graduating kid that plays hockey from this class from duluth east is planning on going to college. what about cloquet? i didnt think so, so while those kids are in college, paying off loans and making ends meet. those 'hard workers' your talking about can make 40k/yr the rest of their lives.
so lumberjack, my advise for you is, stay active in the forums. i probably will too, but there is. i repeat there is life after hockey. and its hardwork at first, but after you want to be at the top you can get there, and a diffrent kind of hardwork forms(management level jobs) with ambition.

Come on everybody. The East Cloquet game should be a great game that pits one of the best rivalries in the State. These kids have a ton of respect for each other and anyone that doesnt have respect for these programs and communities are really stupid. This clash also features two of the top ten teams in the State facing each other. If one of these teams makes it to the State tournament they could win it all. Lets get back to talking about the game and not a bunch of bull that is completely irrelevant and far from what the focus should be.

3-1 cloquet. a lot of shots from both teams but the goalies will play good to keep their teams in the game. i think the game will be close until the 3rd when cloquet will just where them down.

plus, was this group of cloquet guys good at youth hockey? i dont remember hearing anything about them.

You know he's referring to the players and I agree with him. Turn off the CAPS LOCK, by the way.

My pinned into a corner comment was an attempt at sarcasm, which is obviously tough to convey via text.
My fault for taking us off topic. This board is about hockey, not academic or social status.
I think we would all like you to reveal the answer to your question.
