Blueblood is the new Jimmy The Greek
White Bear Lake Orange 6
Chaska 4
WBL scores 3 on first 5 shots of the game to start the game 3-0
Two were on 3-1 odd man rushes and one was on a breakaway.
The other goals were on a 2-0, a point blank shot from a man wide open in the slot, and the final goal on a stop made on another point blank shot with the rebound slammed home.
Chaska did have 3 clankers of the metal and 2-3 wide open shots go wide (but I don't think those go on scoreboard do they)
Chaska found it difficult skating and passing with the severe aerodynamic drag from some large heads slowing them down tonight.
WBL came ready to play, out skated the Hawks most of the game and what was really impressive was the way they played the body. There were more perfectly executed finishes of body checks tonight than I have seen all year. Good clean hard checks where the player took the right angle and just made sure the check seperated the man from the puck.
WBL earned the victory over a Chaska team that did not even come close to resembling the team from Tuesday night. Guess it was the ugly sister's turn to play tonight.
Congrats WBL well done! We needed that lesson taught to us tonight.

tomASS,
I'll take the Jimmy the Greek post as a compliment. What's that bracket look like in Anoka?

Yeah it was directed at your ability to predictblueblood wrote:tomASS,

Anoka Tourney to the best of my aged memory
Championship - WBL O. vs Jefferson
Third Place Game - Eagan vs Hopkins
Consolation - Chaska vs. Lakeville North
Toilet Position - Anoka vs. Hermantown
predictions
Maybe I need to change professions and start handicapping youth hockey games. By my count I'm 7 for 8 at Anoka this week...

Pioneer rankings
Pioneers computer is in for an interesting session this week...
Chaska over Eden Prairie Red
WBL Orange over Chaska
Tonka over Edina Green
Edina Green over Wayzata Blue
Blake and Stillwater in the Moorhead finals...
Consistently inconsistent as the man from Chaska has reported all season long.

Wow - I'm surprised by the Edina White & Stillwater score?
I knew the EP - Blake game would be a good match-up. The score, to me, indicated a great game?? Eagle Guy?
blueblood - yep pioneer will have to take his shoes and socks off to do the calculations this week.
Consolation Game at Anoka -
Chaska 9
Lakeville N. 4
Another sloppy game on Chaska's part - until the third they kept allowing Lakeville to stick around, of course part of that was Lakeville never gave up, but everytime Lakeville scored Chaska came back within moments to gain back the momentum with a goal of their own.
