you said you didnt say what????High_2_the_glove_side wrote:Well everyone knows im from moorhead but every year the bantams and pewees dont do to well in moorhead but in highschool we dominate.
How can you say that every year your Bantam and Peewees dont do very well??? Being your from moorhead, then you go into their rink more than anyone. That being said what is hanging all over in the lobby area??? Banners!! Your teams of the past have been VERY good. Best team ive ever seen play from there is the jr and sr class from this years hs team. So answer me this. How do you guys compare to that team??? Not good at all. Point is, teams in the past used to use their game against moorhead as a measuring stick about how good their team was going to be in that particular season. That isnt going on anymore and I think that it is just a hard pill for you guys to swallow.[/quote]

apology
I would like to apologize for the players of Moorhead youth hockey for embarrasing our program the way they have done here. We are taking action to clear this up and hope that in the future our players will handle themselves with the CLASS that we expect from them. Please realize that this is only a couple of individuals that are using this forum to "stir the pot" and should not be a reflection on the rest of the program. We have great pride in the way our players act both on and off the ice and this behavior is not indicative of that pride. Hopefully you will not have to deal with this issue again.

I owe you all an apology. I visit the HS site more than the youth board and am used to everyone picking on MHD just because they are competitive in and out every year. I have read the posts you have referred to and am just as annoyed as the rest of you. I spoke out of turn and made an uneducated post. I agree with moorheadboardmember and ask everyone to not take the actions of a few into concideration when passing judgement on Moorhead hockey.
yeah i remember last year when warroad beat the moorhead bantam a's and the moorhead players talked about people's moms etc. yeah they talk a lot on the ice too. especially THE BEST PLAYER IN THE NORTH THAT KRAEMER KID.
honestly he was calling our best player gretzky and calling our big player subway. yeah for u moorhead players that called #9 gretzky he is your high schools best player jordy christians first cousin so the natural talent is there.

does hard work mean anything to any of you? sure, moorhead hockey fans are proud, but why wouldnt they be? they might not have won "the big one" but if you could see the hard work the boys and girls of moorhead youth hockey puts in day in and day out. both winter and summer maybe you would have some respect for the spuds. maybe we do talk a little to much but i dont see why not when we get little support from others around the state.
It's kind of an unwritten rule that teams that succeed work hard both during the season and the summer. I for one have respect for all the teams that work hard. Moorhead is no different and doesn't deserve "extra respect" due to their work ethic. I think what has been brought to light is the lack of class by some of your association's youth players. Specifically at the Bantam level. Unless that type of behavior is reigned in soon, good luck with "those" kids in the future.MHDjersey wrote:does hard work mean anything to any of you? sure, moorhead hockey fans are proud, but why wouldnt they be? they might not have won "the big one" but if you could see the hard work the boys and girls of moorhead youth hockey puts in day in and day out. both winter and summer maybe you would have some respect for the spuds. maybe we do talk a little to much but i dont see why not when we get little support from others around the state.

Moorhead
From what I have seen, it is very immature and annoying to do what some of the Moorhead youth players are doing. But, think of being in their shoes. Sure, it may be a little aggrivating at times, but every kid who plays youth hockey would die for his name or team to be mentioned on this forum. While it needs to be stopped, it is understandable.

The "too much talk" part of the formula is why you get little respect my friend. Don't think that Moorhead is the only team in the state working hard winter and summer, and don't think there working the hardest (that last comment had no intention of starting an arguement over which team does work that hardest). But maybe if Moorhead did go and win that big one you were talking about, instead of talking big on the internet which earned yourselves that bad rep in the first place, people around the state might start liking you all a little more. Nothing to worry about though, since your beloved board member apologized for the few who think its cool to talk crap on the internet.MHDjersey wrote:does hard work mean anything to any of you? sure, moorhead hockey fans are proud, but why wouldnt they be? they might not have won "the big one" but if you could see the hard work the boys and girls of moorhead youth hockey puts in day in and day out. both winter and summer maybe you would have some respect for the spuds. maybe we do talk a little to much but i dont see why not when we get little support from others around the state.
