The Real Bantam A Rankings!!!

It stinks but everyone plays by the same rules. Don't agree with the HEP Point System but until this changes it's the way it is although it could potentially have an effect on the final standings in D6. Any other districts seeing the same result?

If u r such an outstanding observer what have they done to make them be put down?? seems to me that they have done alot to earn that spot in the rankings and are keeping themselves there by being consistant with some good wins.

Beating Alex is not an impressive win.

and yes alex is a good team..it is an impressive win when u beat a good team 6-1.. and all of moorhead is on here whining how brainerd is to high..well last time i checked they lost to alex

DaBears I was just joking about the Shako score, no biggy. Rankings are not a huge deal top 5 to top 10 in any given year (depending on strength) can pull the 'upset' most of the time. Some years are more even than others with regards to team parity.

i agree dabears. this is bantam A hockey and teams that arent that good are going to show up and play their best game against ep edina wbl etc and teams liek that dont come to play and screw around, the game is close.

well - Edina is a great pre-season (pre-state) organization for sure. Afflicted with the 2nd place disease though - just seem to generally run out of gas when it really counts

Hermantown was ahead of Duluth East in district play due to HEP points. I also do not agree with the HEP points. In USA games a player get 5 penalties then ejected. If they have that rule a player or team should be able to use those penalties like a basketball player uses his 5 fouls.

This is the Pre Thanksgiving weekend Rankings. New ones next week after the Tourneys have finished. Want to see good hockey go to EP, #'s 1,3,4,7,8,9,11,12,13,15, 17, 19, 20

1. EP - no offical loss yet
2. Duluth East - took Ep to a shoot out and won
3. Centennial - Top team lost to #1 and #2 by 1 goal in tight games
4. Jefferson - Have shown up every night and Put the W's on the Board
5. Moorehead - Has lots of talent & will show it in 2 weeks at thier tourney
6. Edina - # 6 For now if Taft leaves 2 H.S. they could slide more
7. White Bear Lake - plays good team D, beat Centennial on 2 weird goals
8. Blaine - would be higher except , a Jekyll and Hyde team.
9. Eagan - Big goalie, can they be better than last year?
10. St. Cloud - Back to 1 team, high expectations, lets see the Dist 10 play
11. Wayzata - Lots of team speed, no direction??
12. Chaska - Beat Jefferson, then almost lost to Prior Lake.
13. Rochester North - Big team, getting better
14. Tartan - the top of District 2, for now
15. Woodbury - Goalie issues will hurt them all year
16. Moundsview - this still might be high for them
17. Maple Grove - not nearly as talented as last year
18. Roseau - until they show different they should be down here
19. Stillwater - No Housley is a good thing
20. Lakeveille South - Getting stronger after the split?

Grand Rapids could easily be on there for starters...I don't think Jefferson should be that high, and if they are, where is Chaska? shouldn't be at 12. Roseau--too high. They have lost atleast two or three games. Lakeville South should be higher.

Ummm... Roseau Bantam A's just beat Moorehead today 3-2 so yeah we should be higher on the list than that!

They are both average so who cares. This is the worst Moorhead team in 20 years and Roseau just had there 3 year run at bantams this is not a strong team for them either. Again do not brag about beating a top 10 team.... one team one time. The best teams can be beat on a given day. Moorhead is not top 10 and neither is Roseau.

Chuck, be kind to Brainerd, they played very well both games this weekend and I'm told the Friday game was no fluke, Sunday EP just burried and Brainerd didn't, still a great game to watch.
