Has the Tartan squad played Holy Angels or White Bear Lake a couple of times yet? How about Duluth East or Benilde-St. Margarets?

I didn't think so...

for all you guys who say that hill is going to dominate tartan....you are serioulsy mistaken!! what you guys obviously don't realize is that tartan has the home rink advantage! Do you know how big that is for the titans? they all play very well under a crowd and at home. Ask your boy furne...he played amazing at home games but was kind of struggling on the road.
Not to mention they have all the diference, they want it more. Exactly what pioneerprideguy said only not being sarcastic.....
They have home ice, the revenge factor of Hill getting all the bounces and luck last game, they have a disgruntled Furne who realizes he made a mistake & should never have left a Tartan team
The atmosphere at Tartan will be incredible..i can assure you that! and the titans are very upset about the last game..they will be going out for some blood and wil play harder, faster, more skilled and all around better. And the players and the fans will be a lot harsher on furne..he is seen as a traitor. as any high school team and school would see him after what he said and what he did....

Tartan- 3
Hill-murray-2

And to all of you hill fans who think that furne is a dedicated player to hill....think again he asked to come back but he knew that he would get his butt kicked if he did. from what i here he hates it there and tryed his hardest to come back.

I'm sure his parents decided to buck up and pay $8000 for his education where he hates it rather then send him to the public school which would be required to take him. But hey, I'm with ya man...

Tartan can't lose to Hill (they never have)

From how many trailer parks does Tartan draw its students?

Titan "friends" are hated for trying to do something to better themselves and can never go back?!

If Furne and Hill do not send this game into running time, then the Pioneers are taking the night off.

Gonna make a little prediction. At least 2-3 times during the game, when Furne has the puck, more than one Tartan player will try to be a "hero" and will converge on Furne. Ryan will find a teammate who will then slide it over to Larson or Zepeda for a tap in. The Tartan fans will applaud the hit on Furne & the Pioneer fans will applaud the goal. Afterwards, Tartan fans will talk about how Furne was "abused" and Pioneer fans will talk about another win and Furne's playmaking. Two different programs with different definations of success.

HM

Post by stpaul »

Hill-Murray must fear playing North & Tartan back-to-back this week much more than they did playing those top-ranked sissies from Benilde and Holy Angels last week. After reading these posts, I am afraid for them.

The CSC standings below must be a misprint. I can't believe Tartan is 3 games behind HM & 2 behind STA. Surely Tartan is the big game left on the schedule for HM - not St. Thomas.

Hill-Murray 9-0
St. Thomas 8-1
Tartan 6-3
Mahtomedi 5-4
Richfield 5-4
So. St. Paul 4-5
North 2-6
Simley 1-8
Sibley 0-9

Does this thread have anything to do with Hills toughest opponent left? No it's just the Tartan vs Hill game try to stay on topic.

Hey, to you Hill Murray followers, all of us at St. Cloud Cathedral want to know how former Crusader Monte French is doing for the Pioneers. Your response would be appreciated.

I'm confused how the home ice will do them any good when it got them shut out by St Thomas 4-0, by So St Paul 4-0 and by Red Wing 5-0. Hmmm...

I'd love to see Hill lose, but I just don't see it happening.

who ever it is that is hiding behind the name garret larson on your posts justs needs to shut their mouth. I know that it is not garret larson himself behind these posts. however it is someone on the team that is looking for attention, and if you can not see who ever u may be that you are doing nothing but hurting your own team and making the team and program look foolish. so just shut your mouth, play the game and work hard and stop posting this stupid crap on this site and quite hiding behind the captain of the teams name and giving him a bad rep as well because he is three times the player you are and you are a chicken $%^#.

I'm sure most of the state would love to see Tartan upset Hill, and with home ice and losing 2-4 away the first time, I'd say that maybe Tartan pairs up with Hill well and has a chance. Not a very good one, but good luck to you. Don't talk your team up more than they deserve.

goalieboy you obviously part of the team too. Why don't you read your posts from earlier this year. You dont make sense. You know all this stuff about Tartan yet you don't go to there games or play. Then how do you know so much? I know your part of the Tartan association and are now trying to play it off because people know who you are now.

In a hard hitting game Cary Wood will stand on his head...
Tartan 3-1 with an empty netter at the end. Wood will beat Hill Murray one last time.

No strong game for Wood. Hill reigns 4-1. Hill Outshot, Outskated & Outscored Tartan. They are a MUCH better team. And to rub salt in the wound Furne scored.

HM - Tartan

Post by stpaul »

A funny thing happened on the way to that great effort & monumental victory for Tartan:

They lost to Richfield. Then Hill-Murray beat them 4-1. Shots were 40-15. Furne scored in the first for HM. It was 4-0 after 2. Tartan was never in it.
