TARTAN V.S. HILL ROUND 2
ROUND 2 OF TARTAN V.S. HILL, WILL HILL COME AWAY WITH THE WIN AGAIN. I KNOW TARTAN AND FURNE WILL BE PUMPED FOR THIS GAME BECAUSE IT IS FURNES HOMECOMING, FURNE COMING BACK TO PLAY AT TARTAN WHERE HE SPENT 13 YEARS PLAYING BEFORE LEAVING THE "CRAPPY" TARTAN PLAYERS AND GOING TO HILL, OR WILL THE TITANS PULL ONE OUT IN OAKDALE?

From this point forward, AP wants to see HM win every conference game by double digits! AP knows the Pioneers have the sense, skill, strength, speed, size... but show AP you have the stamina to hustle every play as if it were the State Championship. Play every shift as if Hill were down by at least a couple goals and never let up... it soon will be crunch time... the endurance the Pioneers build now will assist HM by next month... AP can't wait until Lent!

Hmmm... Could hockeyman or hockeyplaya be Furne? Probably, considering Furne got stuffed TWICE against Wood last game. Last game was only 4-2. So wherever your getting your 12-1 predictions is ridiculous. Sence no players were "good enough" to play with Furne on the Tartan team or so he said. Why didn't he get any points last game. What's your excuses on that? Furne will not even have close to 6 points. After all the cheapshots he pulled last game he'll be lucky to even be standing after the first period. Which is funny considering her runs a Tartan player and calls him a week later to apoligze. What a good kid eh?
If anything Larson will have the points for Hill he is by far a better player then Furne. But, overall this shall be a good game of hockey.

Furne with no points. LAWL

I don't see anyway Hill wins this game. Tartan has everything going for them right now. They have home ice, the revenge factor of Hill getting all the bounces and luck last game, they have a disgruntled Furne who realizes he made a mistake & should never have left a Tartan team that appears to be making their stretch run to St. Paul, and they have a coaching staff who always seems to push the right buttons. Hill is spiralling out of control right now. They got blown out against an average AHA team and are beginning to see their hold of the conference lead be slowly taken back by the surging Titans. The administrators at Hill have secretly met with their advance scouts and questioned the thier judgments by saying, "we are paying all these kids how much?...and what are we getting in return?". Hill has also began talks with the high school league asking that they either they get removed from the conference or that Tartan is moved. Hill sites that Tartan's large school enrollment make it nearly impossible for the kids at Hill Murray to compete with the kids at Tartan. They have asked, "Please, please, take that big bad athletic powerhouse away from us...we have no chance against them". Morale is at an all-time low at Hill and it can all be pointed to that Hockey/Athletic powerhouse in Oakdale. The High school league had this kind of match-up in mind when they created the "mercy rule". Let's just hope the Boys in Blue pull back the reigns this weekend and show a little "mercy" on our little parochial kids.

HM - North
Hill-Murray is not yet even thinking about Tartan. They have to play that other District 622 powerhouse first.

I must say, as a long time Hill fan, I'm very despondent to see us on the losing side of lopsided games. We used to beat teams like St. Paul Central and Highland Park 17-1 regularily. Now it's Tartan taking it to Hill like that. I can't believe we've fallen so far. I don't know if the rumor is true or not, but I'm sure the coaches at Hill didn't take Furne because he was cut by Tartan. That can't be the case. I know Tartan is in the midst of their usual stretch run where they storm sections and win another state title. Hill will be begging for running time in the second period of this one. I've heard Lechner call Tartan Arena "The House of Horrors" on many occasions. I heard from two players this week the reason they lost a second time to Holy Angels was because they were blue and that reminded the Hill kids of Tartan. Talk about a mental block to overcome. Thank goodness Woodbury and their blue uniforms are in Section 2AA. Which brings up the question, to win the hated rivalry in sections, will WBL be changing to blue uni's for this one game? I, for one, hope not. The sad part here will be how many Hill kids make it out of the Tartan game healthy. It sure isn't fun playing a team that is so much bigger and stronger then you. I bet those Tartan kids have a weight room in their school. Talk about lucky. Anyway, I hate to predict games, but I'll take a shot here...Pioneerprideguy wrote:I don't see anyway Hill wins this game. Tartan has everything going for them right now. Tartan covers the 16.5 spread from Vegas and wins 22-3.
