If I was from WBL, I would find this kid, tell him never to go to another game again..!! If this is the class of your community, yelling at an official after the game... I mean come on! What a joke... he should be proud of his STUPID comments! How about going to school on Tuesday, finding some of your hockey players and saying "I paid admission to watch you suck for the first two periods, and that wont happen again!" Instead you rip the official! Again... nice to make your community look good! CLASSLESS!!!!!!

I have to say that there were numerous missed calls that could have been penalties ON BOTH SIDES. Wieck, Mueller, and Dorr were mugged on several occasions that would have given Roseville a power play. The hit by Monsour that you are thinking was a checking from behind penalty was a good no call. The interference call on the hit on Dorr was questionable, I would have to agree, but if nothing else the refs were consistant. They let both teams play.
I can't believe anyone could blame this game on the refs. WBL came out extremely flat in the first period and for a good majority of the second period which left them in a 4-0 hole. he referees had nothing to do with the 4 goal deficit
Hansen did have 2 (possibly 3) goals but was non-existent for the first 20+ minutes. To whom ever said that the RV fans shut up after Hansen scored twice must be the clown that was booted from the game for holding up the Hansen 3:16 sign. I was behind the RV student section and they were still going strong when the clock ran out at the end of the game.
Overall, it was a well played game and I look forward to their meeting at Roseville on February 15th!

Reffing

Post by HOCKEY SCOUT »

Reffing was not good..... Fun fact I bet no one knows but the head ref's kid graduated from roseville a few years ago. How does the minnesota high school league let that happen????? I know because he was a great hockey player that we liked. Ended up at Notre Dame I believe.

Well now that explains something. no wonder I thought they werecalling te penalties with some favor. And slinger I hate to disagree with you but knower is probobly right in that it was the refs fault, but you just have to ignore his immaturity.

I just think its BS that just because the refs kid graduated from Roseville doesn't give him the right to screw other teams, he needs to quit living in the past and do an equal job every team he refs.

You WBL posters are really dragging your fans' reputations through the mud. Let it go, everybody can question the reffing since it's so subjective. The Roseville comments are just ridiculous, Sertich is a stud and Mueller and Dorr are both D-1 talents. The comments about education are a tad bit ironic considering the nature of your posts.

This played out thread just demonstrates the continuing passion behind a great rivalry.

Youth through high school, Roseville and White Bear get up for the games between one another. The talent in both prorams plays a large part of why the section is one of the toughest in the state.

So how exactly does a school that is almost 40% smaller than one of the largest school systems in the Minnesota compete year after year? :?: There must be some talent in that Roseville program! Consider that Roseville's enrollment is 6394 while White Bear Lake's student body is pushing 9000. Here's the link to check for yourself. http://cfl.state.mn.us/datactr/enroll/GEGD0506.pdf

Oh, and I just love the comment about gangsters, thugs and ghettos in Roseville. Here's another statistic for you. The median home value in Roseville is $247,901. For WBL, the median value is $240,722.

See ya Feb 15th after which we can let the whinning begin again.

The fact is they didn’t win, I was always told in sports it was your job to beat the other team and if necessary beat the officials. Last I check refs are humans, who make mistakes, if you have to rely on hoping the ref doesn’t make mistakes play better and then it will be much more obvious when you win. Otherwise stop bitching.
Hey buddy I said should've, maybe you should learn to read before you start telling me what I can and can't do.
