St. Cloud Apollo at Fergus Falls Tue. Jan 16

Post by Goldy Gopher »

Not a life or death game but I've heard that Fergus has put together a pretty good team this year and Apollo has been much improved in the last couple games. Does anyone think they can go up north and steal a win from the Otters?

I'll take Apollo 4-2 on a pure guess.

Who's in goal for the game?

I would have to say the Otters will win this one 5-1

IMO, I haven't seen much scoring capability out of the eagles lately - hopefully they can get it together.

I wasn't able to make the game but I heard that Fergus dominated play. Is this true?

I wouldn't say dominated. Each team had streaks where they looked like they were in command. The Eagles really took over the third though, not necessarily controlling the play but just taking advantage of every oppertunity given to them.

sorry about the "hot shot" it was out of line, im just frankly pissed at the situation. The otters think they are amazing and then they can't back it against Apollo? Rediculous.

Both teams played a good game last night, the officiating was questionable. But based on that comment I'm assuming you haven't seen Apollo recently. They're very much improved over their last couple games and are coming together well as a team. Don't expect them to be a push over down the stretch

I haven't seen them play but I have heard they stepped it up. It is apparent that you are on the team so you would know way better then me. I'm happy to hear that Apollo is doing well, a cousin of mine played for them a few years back and I'm sure he is pretty happy about this.

When I made that post I was not aware of the current hot streak of the Apollo Eagles and how well they are coming together. I apologize and I'm very happy for your organization. (assuming you are number 36 for the team, because of your reaction)

It's not ridiculous if a team loses to Apollo. It just means they probably aren't that good or they probably didn't play their best game.

Not a large issue, I understand where that comment was comming from but the Eagles have been on a hot streak as of late and appear to be headed in the right direction.

Shorthanded Frenzy

Post by maddangles »

The Otters outplayed the Eagles, but 5 min. in the 2nd the Eagles scored 2 shorthanded goals. The Otters 1st goal was a shorthander as well. FF just couldn't get anything clicking in the offensive end.
