He has been talked to by some other colleges, but he will likely play a year of juniors first.

He definately needs a year or so of Juniors

IMO he needs time in the Junior system. Seem him play great but then just downright let in some ugly goals. INCONSISTENT.

I think playing on a high paced level for more than just 20+ game in HS will do only one thing and that is improve his play. Just my opinion. I personally wouldnt offer him a DI scholarship to day. Playing there will do only one thing and improve his stock if he does well.

But that is IMO of course. Just my two cents.

I agree with you iwatchalotofhockey that he is very inconsistent. He can play well, but I think there many other goalies in the state that perform on a daily basis much better than he does.

He doesnt have a chance if he repeats his performance from the AA championship last year.

He's a capable goalie to get the back to the state title game.

He makes the big saves, but lets in some that he shouldn't. He's looked ok this year. But it will be hard to repeat his season last year. Scrambles too much

He has a good backup pushing him. He'll be fine.

all goalies let in soft ones, or a fluke. it is part of the game & the position.

a good backup pushing him, I wouldn't go that far.
as for the backup, I don't think he should talk much. if I recall he had a fluke/weak one go in on him against cloquet in the first game of the year, & i don't see him playing much at all. not even in a jv game once in a while to get in a game like atmosphere for when the next time should come for him.

I saw the Grand Rapids back-up in a couple of scrimmages at the beginning of the year.
He made some quality saves. I believe one scrimmage was against Rochester Century and they put up some tough shots.

every goalie no matter who they are, will let in a soft goal. but i do think that reider needs to work on consistince.. as for a good back up pushing him, ide have to draw a line their

He is inconsistent....he will play on his head one day and then next he will be average at best....he is good, but inconsistent. In the games I've seen him he is also extremely lazy/ non-schalant (sp?). I have seen him play about 7 times and he is that way everytime whether he is playing amazing or not...I think that's something he should work on...he's a good goalie, but nothing special...

He will have to play Juniors first. I don't think he has a choice. Goalies can't go D-1 too often right away. No goalie right now in Minnesota will go to college right after high school.
