Have any of these teams met up yet? If so, results?

Virginia And G.R play Next weekend. Should be a good game. I hear both teams are strong in there own ways. Virginia is quick but G.R. is a much more physical team. I predict 3-1 Rapids. Any one else :?:

Doesn't Duluth East come into the mix somewhere.

And Bemidji beat Moorhead.

And Warroad is no slouch.

If you are considering the teams in MAHA regional competition (versus just northern teams) then I guess Duluth East would NOT be in the mix.

But Bemidji, Warroad and Roseau and East Grand Forks have to be given consideraton.

I think Grand Rapids plays Bemidji this weekend as well as their game with Virginia.

Duluth East

Post by northwoods oldtimer »

Elliot about time someone brings up the 'beast that is East'. They are indeed tops in the north country and loaded with 2nd year talent. I watched them against GR and they dominated that game in shots/opportinities (winning 3-1). No doubt they are every bit worthy of the high rank and so far would hands down be the best out of the north country. Virginia, Bemidji, Brainerd, Warroad, GR are in the mix but some of you guys might be better judge of that than me. What about Moorhead and Roseau? Like to see that Lumberjack club against the GR club should be a good one.

Since we are talking about the North Region, Duluth East would not come into the mix. They play in the East region. If they were in the North Region, they would no doubt be the favorite.

virginia has a strong 4 lines and if all those lines work hard they have a good chance of beating GR in some of there games this year.and they dont have to worry about there goalies.there 3 goalies can stop the puck no doubt..

Are these in order?
It will be interesting to see how Rapids fairs in upcoming games - rematch with Bemidji and first go round with Brainerd.
