Best of luck to him and his family. I have all the faith in the world he'll beat it.

And hey, who stronger to fight through cancer than a hockey player?elliott70 wrote:I have known several young men (probably a dozen) that have gone through testicular cancer.
They have all done fine.
It is a tough process physically and emotionally, but if it is early on, there should be limited problems for him.
I am praying for him.
A phenomenal one at that.

Agreed no one better than a hockey guy to battle it. Also testicular when found early is one of the most commonly treated cancers you can have.
Good luck Phil.
Good luck Phil.

Phil Kessell
My friend's son had the same kind of cancer five years ago. He had surgery and 15 radiation treatments and is doing great. With this kind of treatment, it is expected to be a 95- 98 per cent cure. It's a very good reminder for all young men to check for this kind of cancer. It happens to young men very often. When caught early, it has a happy ending. Let's all say some prayers for Phil.

There was just a thing on sportscenter about him. He had surgery today and is recovering. His agent said everything went well and is on the road to recovery.

Be sure to check yourself, prevention is the #1 cure.
Best of luck Phil, you can do it.
