Albert Lea scored 94 goals last year and they return players who scored 77 of those. They do lose Lair who was a very good D man. They do bring back almost all of their forwards. Their goalie, Casanova returns. I don't doubt they will do well in 1A

Its going to come down to AL and Mankato West. East will not repeat becasue they lost 14 seniors off the varsity team and about 75% of their scoring from last year. they also lost their starting and backup varsity goaltenders. I think AL will win it because they have the edge in goaltending other than that either of these teams can beat each other any given night. But i give the edge to AL

West is the most overrated team in the section. It will be Albert Lea without a doubt

ALBERT LEA should make it to the state tournament alot. Look at how easy there section is. They will never have a team that will compete with the upper teams in the champions bracket. Consolation is the best they will ever get.

zamboni, u must not be apart of section 1A if ur rippin on it. West might have enough to make it to the championship game, but i still think it's Albert Lea. There also might be a surprise team beating West or Albert Lea like Marshall did last year.

Last year albert lea started out strong and then peaked mid season. They got weaker as the season went on. Other teams with more talent passed them up. END OF STORY.

The thing is that west was a young team last year and still played with teams like Albert Lea East and Marshall. They also played well against all the Rochester teams.

West is still going to be a young team. Basically 4-5 seniors (Goalie, 2D and a couple of forwards) that will see extensive playing time and the rest underclassmen.

Actually bugsy, they will all be juniors this year. You could pretty much count them as seniors because it is there third year playing high school hockey for most of them

Albert Lea

ZAMBONI, Albert Lea did not peak mid season then get weaker. The top 4 teams could have beaten each other on any given night. Albert lea had just come off a big win February 14th beating East in a close game 6-5. If you remember East beat A.L. January 7th in another close game 3-1. The only game they under achieved on was the Farmington game, ALBERT LEA had more talent.

Marshall

Post by rumplestiltskin »

ZAMBONI, Marshall's program has been on the up for sometime now. The team Albert Lea had last year was not really expected to do much. Nystrom put a good team together for what he had to work with and got the #1 seed at the end of the year, END OF STORY.

RELAX AND HAVE FUN!!!!!!

HOTSHOT Is gone. Where do you think I got the info from? ALBERT LEA is not the only team in class A. You would think that this class A spot was just for the ALBERT LEA people. You speak your minds and let others also. Here we go again, just like last year, ALBERT LEA TO STATE and the puck has not even dropped yet. WELCOME BACK.

So HOTSHOT, who do you think will win between AL vs. Farmington this Saturday without the firepower of Alex "King" Carlson?
