green bay bobcats leading minnetonka Jr. A team 6-0 after 2 periods. mtka. very outmatched against a strong u-18 team which should have played either sioux falls or the ep team in the championship round. ep beat sioux falls in ot 3-2. ep skated without 6 players due to injuries. sioux falls appeared tired after spending everything against green bay the previous day in a 2-0 loss. the green bay team, without a doubt, could play with any of the top 15 aa or a teams in the mn. varsity league level.

my buddy jerry f. ran a great tourney!! hats off to the epha! the mars family put on a great sound show as well!

The conduct of the Minnetonka team after the championship loss to Green Bay was reprehensible!

What happened to the concept of good sportsmanship win , lose, or draw? If I were the Minnetonka coach I would have dragged everyone of those players back out onto the ice for the awards ceremony. It is that type of behavior that gives the wonderful sport of ice hockey a blackened eye, as well as, making the tournament and the tournament directors look foolish. If you are going to play in these tournaments condcut yourselves appropriately even if you don't like the outcome of your games.

Bobcat fan. Although I was not at the tourney at all I did hear your Green Bay team won it all and played good. Can you elaborate what happened after your win? Did the Minnetonka skaters skate off when they should have shaken hands etc.? Our skaters from Bloomington would have conducted themselves in an appropiate manner. Their coaches are on top of that.

I'm surprised that Sioux Falls did not advance to the final game against Green Bay. How did that happen?

Green Bay beat Sioux Falls 2-0 to get into the championship game....EP beat Sioux Falls 3-2 in OT in a great game..Sioux Falls has a good team and they were very classy as well. What was the final of the Green Bay/Tonka game

Handshake?

Post by Southpaw30 »

I thought the rule required the kids to shake hands BEFORE the game.

But yes they should have stayed on the ice while the other team recv'd their hardware. As an aside though, I have been seeing a lot of 4th place teams leaving the ice recently, before the other team gets the hardware. (e.g. Wayata Tourney)

A very good Green Bay team defeated Minnetonka 6-0 for the championship. GB sailed through all the games. Sioux Falls game them a run, losing 2-0. We won't see them until next year. Too bad. They raise the "bar" for Minnesota teams.
