Oh thats new to me. Well in that fact i believe that EP is scared to face an accual team. maybe thats why thier record is good. I think they should play some worth the while instead of running away with their tails between their legs. wouldn't you say TBURNS <p></p><i></i>

I never saw a schedule showing us playing them in the 1st round. If you read the whole posting I said we look forward to playing them. Wayzata could never decide if they were in our tournament or not, so it ended up not. You are great at talking crap before games. there are 2 games i am hoping will be played this weekend... well first off i hope to see <br>Duluth battle Lakeville- last time they played it was a close triple overtime heartbreak for lakeville (also some father-son rivalry coming with that game)<br>-Duluth vs. EP if played should be a strong battle from two tough teams... would be a fun game to watch<br> <p></p><i></i>

yeah thats true the only smack that can be talked is after a win but even then your rep is in jepeordy. well Im excited to see what happens this weekend in a few tournys. this weekend can really be an ice-breaker for the teams that have yet to really shine. EPfan have you played edina yet and if so what was the score of the game. <p></p><i></i>

Lost to them 3-2 in Mtka. Tournament.<br>Lost to them 5-3 in league play.<br>I thought both games could have gone either way.<br>Looking forward to playing them again, we need to stay out of the box. They have a very good power play. <p></p><i></i>

Yeah we seemed to have the same trouble, we lost to them and i believe the score was 4-2, in a league game. They had solid power play and never let down once which made it very hard to capitalize on their mistakes. although their goalie didn't seem to perform as well as i had expected. maybe it was just an off day. <p></p><i></i>

I think Bombay plays for Lakeville when he's not starring in those annoying Mighty Ducks Movies. I saw Duluth this weekend for the 1st time. They look like a pretty good team. Not your typical Duluth team. Most of these guys can skate without leaning on something or someone. Since 2 out of the 3 "Outstate" A teams will make the state tournament, I think it is a safe bet that they will be there.<br><br>Who else thinks that there should only be one outstate team going to state? Some very good Metro teams will battle it out to go to state & the outstate teams need to win one Regional game. <p></p><i></i>

Who are teh three outstate teams? Duluth Moorhead and ??? i think that their should be spots for however many teams there are in this case problay one but theres not much ya can do except make sure your team wins in regions<br> <p></p><i></i>

I think Grand Rapids is the third outstate team. I agree that the Metro teams need to focus on regions. I just think that 20+ teams should play for 7 spots & 3 (outstate) teams should play for one spot. This would strengthen the field at the State Tournament. <p></p><i></i>

You are correct on the third outstate team. However, Carlton maybe thrown into the loop. They are playing in A and B tournaments. Unsure how this is accomplished?????<br><br>I totally agree with you in regards to a new format for the A division. Duluth should be at state, they have a good team. But Moorehead or Grand Rapids are to weak. It is an unfair system that is in place. But life is unfair! This format has been in place for years. MN hockey is aware of the format and has done nothing to change it. Some metro teams will lose out on going to Aurora in March because of this format.<br><br>In theory, 7 metro teams, maybe 8, should be at state. A new format needs to include all teams. How? Maybe breakdown into sections that follow the state high school league. But then we run into a problem with EP, BJ, Edina, and Wayzata ( I do not know if they are in the same section or not)...Maybe create a big tournament for all teams, draw from a hat and place teams into 8 divisions....<br><br>But this is Jr. Gold and this is the last division to be reviewed. A state tournament in Aurora? I am sure, maybe they love there hockey but, this is a small hockey community, do they know what Jr. Gold is? Where are 8 teams suppose to stay? MN Hockey needs to pick a location that will accommodate all teams........ <p></p><i></i>
