IGH
Woodbury (4) @ IGH (2)

bad game for us. We had about a week layoff and it showed. Woodbury outworked us for most of the game. Our whole team wasn't sharp. Ryan came back this game but unfortunately he wont be back for us the rest of the year. In the second period he broke his wrist on a check. It was pretty bad the bone was almost coming through the skin and his hand was haing down. We as a team are kinda depressed because he is a big part of our team. Our chances of making a run in the D8 playoffs are getting slim. We need some guys to step up big time now. Hopefully this weekend down in Redwood Falls we can find it.

SLP
Wed 2/4/04
SLP 2 Vs Elk River 8

The score pretty much explains this game. The Park boys didn't really play all that bad of a game, Elk River just flat-out beat them. I now see what everyone means about the stick work and how chippy the ER team is. It was crazy the number of times they were hooking and slashing. I had 4 guys come to the bench with bruises on their wrists from this. I'm not making excuses, because for the most part penalties were called on ER for their antics. ER really had a lot of speed and were really good with the puck. Our first 2 lines did skate well with ER until our top point scorer was DQ'd (again), he just can't keep his mouth shut.

Score
Burnsville - 9
Armstrong - 1

Pretty much dominated the whole game. We outshot them 39-10. They were a couple players short due to fighting suspensions but we still played very well. Finally started to move the puck like we can. We now have the weekend off. Any big games this weekend?
BVILLE

big games this weekend
I am on my way to Carlton, MN. There are some great game possibilites this weekend if teams win. Roseville vs WBL orange in the semis, and then a possible game between either one of those two teams and Tartan in the Finals if everybody can win. Gook luck in all your games this weekend. Talk to ya all again on sunday night.

Re: big games this weekend
not necessaraly big games, but they are big for us and important for the MHL standings.

SLP @ Edina - Friday (tonight) 8:45 - Braemar West
SLP @ Centennial - Saturday 9:00pm - Centennial HS

Big Games...
Can we see some scores? SLP, you played Edina last night, gotta score? After your Cen-game perhaps you'll log on. My apologies about ER - they're just flat our good and bunch of wanna-be bad-asses. If they just played hockey they'd take care of everyone -with class. But, again, that's why those fellas are in this level. Good luck.

Hastings loses AGAIN!
With our 2nd win over Hastings with 2 key players missing due to being DQ'd from WBL Tourney, it shows that we are definitely not a one man team. We're headed tomorrow to SSP who we took 2-0 in Albert Lea for the championship. Me thinks our team is determined to take 1st. Better rethink that Top 10 list! <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... s/wink.gif ALT=";)">

Junior Gold
Am looking for information about the Junior Gold program. Is is part of Blueline? What are the ages of players? Is is an option for some other than playing high school? How many teams are there in Northeastern Minnesota?

SSP Vs Rochester Red
Big win for SSP Today, 4-2 for the second time weve beat them this year by 2 goals. showing we do at least deserve a top 10 spot were 13-2 only losses comign to hastings. also dominated cottage grove by alot, but who hasnt.
SSP Captain #13

IGH
Well we played in the Redwood Falls Tourney this weekend and it was a 4 team round robin. It was a good and bad weekend for us. The bad news is we lost to Buffalo 5-4 in the first game. Our guys didn't show up till the 3rd and it wasn't enough. Plus at the end of the game one of of our guys punched a buffalo player well after the buzzer I yelled at him he told me to take a flying leap and I got in his face and he threatened to hit me with his stick. This player has been a cancer all season. All of us our glad that he is gone and he wont be playing next season because he is just a junior. The good news is that we still won the Tourney. We beat Aberdeen 8-0 and buffalo lost to Redwood 7-3 and Redwood beat Aberdeen making the game between us and Redwood the championship because of how the tie breaker was. It was a good game. We were up 2-1 after the first and it was tied 3-3 at the end of the second. We came out and scored 3 unanswered goals in the third. Matt Krumm had 5 of the 6 goals in the game.

The bad news in this game is that it had to be reffed by the biggest homer i have ever seen. One of their kids butt ended our guy in the head in the 3rd and no penalty. 3 minutes later he butt ends another one of our guys right in front of the ref. This time though his stick went through our kids mask breaking his nose and cheekbone, giving him a concussion and causing a cut below his eye that needed stitches. Doc said if he didn't close his eye he would have damaged his eye pretty good and again NO penalty.
We were up 5-3 at the time of this with 5 minutes left. Everyone was upset. I had to calm a couple of our kids down because they wanted to kill the kid and i have to be honest so did I. The ref said that he fell and hit the kids knee and thats how it happened. I am so freaking pissed. One of our parents has the incident on tape and we will be looking to get this ref reprimanded or something.

Edited by: <A HREF=http://pub33.ezboard.com/bmnhs.showUser ... httrain at: 2/8/04 11:01 pm

RAVE unbeaten streak
Hey guys this is my first listing.... I play for rave and as much as i hate to say it... I have to disagree with my friend ravecowboy... as much as i hate to agree with some of what coachguy says... Coach guy is right we do need to win a few more games before we jump on our band wagon. however cowboy was right, we are by far the most underrated team... we would like a little respect. We have stayed with every team at the top of the list granted we played poorly against some teams and the scores were a little one sided, we still played close to the team. Rochester and us had one hell of a game in albert lea as well as when we played ER and Tartan, however we played one good game against WBL Black but I killed us when we played them the second time.. I am the goalie and take blame for my horsecrap game and have since played well. We have come together as a team and have put together a seven game unbeaten streak and we control our own destiny. With Hopkins at hopkins on wednesday hen EP Red on friday and fininshing off the regular season with Roseville at home along with EP red. We can beat all these teams but it depends on which rave team shows up...

IGH Injury
Hey freighttrain--that's absolutely nuts!! Not only should that ref be reprimanded, but if you have video, you can legally prosecute the offending player. I'd seriously think about doing that. Let the parents of your injured player know that please! There is no place on any ice for a disturbed kid like that!

Carlton Tourney
Not a ton of time, as i am off to work, but here are some scores from this weekend.

Roseville (5) vs Grantsburg (2) Worst game of the weekend, saturday morning...thought we were done for the rest of the weekend.

Roseville (2) vs White Bear Lake Orange (0) yeah thats right we evened it up with these guys now.

Roseville (4) vs Tartan (2)

A GREAT final, marred only in the last 11.6 seconds. 3 players for tartan will be done for 3 games, and unfortunately 3 players and our goalie will be done for 3 games, due to a hogpile with punches. BUT our bar has been raised now! I told these guys if we got solid goal tending and a complete game we can beat everybody...we finally did it this weekend, and the trophy is on top of the big screen now.

Coach guy>>>
hey coach guy i was just wondering how many games you guys have left and records and recent games. As you probably know we play you in a week or two. Good luck in your up and coming games everyone.

SLP
Friday 2/6/04
SLP 0 @ Edina 6

The score pretty much tells the story of this game. I really don't think that we can to play tonight. Almost the entire first period was spent in our end of the rink. We were outshot 17-4 in the first period and 36-10 in the game. We did a a few scoring chances but were unable to hit the net when they occured.

Saturday 2/7/04
SLP 2 @ Centennial 4

This game was much better. Park came out really flat getting outshot to start the game 18-4 and a 2-0 deficit in the first period. From that point on Park started to play more like a team. Coming back to get 2 in the 2nd period and taking a 3-2 deficit into the locker room for the 3rd period. Centennial was able to add one more in the 3rd and again Park just could not capitalize on their scoring chances. After the first period this was a good game by both teams.

Well our toughest 3 game stretch sure didn't turn out too well. Losing all 3 games and being outscored 18-4. However we atleast ended the stretch well playing a good game Vs Centennial. We have 3 home games this week Vs MV-Green (Tues 6pm), Brooklyn Park (Wed 6pm) and then EP-Red (Sat 2pm). This should be a good week of hockey in SLP.

re: rave35
hey rave35 all of our scores are posted on the site, and we have been playing well lately...it should be a good game between our teams. We have 6 league games left...our toughest oppontent will probably be EP red. We will have played all the top teams down to wayzata except centennial.

In case anyone is keeping score...
Tough weekend for the Mighty Skippers JGB:

WB Black 4, Tonka 3 (WB scored with 1min remaining while Tonka had a 5min major for "drawing blood" didn't know this was the NHL, nevertheless Black is for real!)

Mounds View Green 4, Tonka 1 (Shots: Tonka 44-14 over MV -enough said - great goalie performance)

I've seen enough of Tonka's games this season to say that it'll be very difficult for them to make the playoffs with the final 4 games vs the likes of Tartan, Roseville, EP Black & Burnsville. Not a great position to be in if I were a Skipper!

Great Competition
As i have played the last two years i have not seen this much of a fit from postions 6-15 to get in. It is great to see hockey, not to mention JR Gold hockey, played so. Last year Hutch, Edina, Armstrong and the White bears ran away with the league and now we have a controversy to see who will make it. All i can say is i am glad to be apart of not just a team, but a league that is so competitive and the followers have gotten more great hockey than the previous two that i have been around for. Congrats to the teams and thank you for making my senior hockey year rememberable... Hope yu guys feel the same.

Rave35

Re: Great Competition
Roseville (7) vs. Forest Lake (0)

Great game to only have 9 guys for. Between injuries and 3 game suspensions we were a little thin. Got the score up quick and then played a great game of keep away with the boys from the F-L.

Funniest Comment heard today: "That team sucked! They only beat us by 7 goals!"

His parents are already in the process of pressing chargers on the player. I got a copy of the tape from the parent tonight at our game (we lost 3-0 to lakeville, kids are really beat and down after this weekend) and watched it. We knew the player did it twice (buttended) but we found another time he did it after the whistle luckily he didnt get our player with the full blow like the other two. To update on our injured player he doesnt have a broken cheekbone but a fracuted eye socket instead (like that is any better) and they also found he has 4 cracked teeth. The amazing thing is he said that if everything goes well next monday when he goes to get his nose fixed he will play in the playoffs. I think that is good news because after it happened he didnt want to play hockey again. He is a really great kid and will be a senior next year and I would hate to see him not play next year because of what some prick did.

Score
Bville - 8
Anoka - 2

Score pretty much sums it up. Shots were 48-13. Not much here. We played pretty well. Got a player back from a knee injury. Team seemed to respond with energy. Hey, what about Chaska? I hear they are pretty chippy. We play them tommorow night. I just want to know what we are in for.

BVILLE

Wayzata
I believe we beat Wayzata 5-3 or something. Their statagy against us was to play the body hard and often. They tried to slow us down by physical play. It worked for a while. I just told our guys to not go out of their way to hit somebody and skate around these guys. They are not a very fast team so if you can skate around their checks you will be O.K. I suspect they will try and be physical. Tell you players to keep their heads.
BVILLE
