Roseville (9) @ North Saint Paul (1)

I asked the kids a day after a huge tie at WBL not to have a let down, and to come out and punish these people who have messed with our schedule, disrespected my name, and caused me some mental anguish. Boy did they answer the call. We scored 13 seconds into the game, and it was off to the races after that.

After the rejection of the first WBLO game and the elks game it was nice to come out and break that streak of offensive ineptitude. We were that guy in the bar whos been shot down all night and N. St. Paul was the big girl at the end of the bar. no more drout.

Have a good night everybody...SLP we will see you on saturday night. Im the big coach with the goat, come introduce yourself before the game. good luck.

tonka sched.

Post by CoachGuy »

Holy JEBUS!

Rat i believe you are a tonka fan...I just have to say holy cow! I just looked at the rest of your schedule, and ouch. That might be the toughest four game strech to end the season anybodys had to take on. Tartan, Roseville, EP black, and Burnsville. With Centennial and WBL black in there just for bleeps and giggles before that. Luck is wished upon your fav team.

Rave Explanation

Post by RAVECOWBOY »

Alright I am goin to tell you why Rave lost to the highly overrated team Minetonka(no offense but well they are not that good). Rave had a little flu epidemic spread through the team and it is just ending. When rave has the full roster on hand they will take it to most teams. It is evidence that rave regained key players for the albert lea tourney seeing as they took third beating white bear 5-0! Okay thats what i got and i do have to say rave has one of the top players in the state look out!

re: Tonkas schedule

Post by RinkRat22 »

I have watched a few of Tonka's games, you are correct. I live in one the southwest subs, that is correct. What is this Columbo?

The schedule for Tonka is challenging, true. But Cen and BP are good but beatable. Tartan is overrated and Roseville is getting beat leftr and right. Tonka is not worried there. after that we have EP Black & B'ville tough to say the least, but I have also seen both squads play and everyone here is going to play well and going to play worse that well. We'll see how it all shakes out. I do not log on to simply read scores. I like the all the banter. If this makes this a better league because there is somehting in print - then fabulous! Tonka is a Top 10 squad in the MHL and will be there in the end. Do I think they are better than the EPs and the Tartan BlueJays and the Elks? No, but they're going to give 'em a run!

Rave

Post by BVILLEJRGOLD »

Take it easy pal. Like the other guys said, you need to beat somebody in the top ten. Beating WB Black is great and all but really not that impressive when you look at their record. And lets be honest, that first team you played in Albert Lea, (Onalaska) They really were not that good. I'll give you props when you beat a top ten team.
BVILLEJRGOLD

If we'd all just notice, usually, either one of two things happen to posters such as RAVECOWBOY.

1. They stop coming to the boards all together, because nobody likes to communicate with them in a positive mannor.
or
2. They finally realize that with more positive ideas and conversation in their posts, they would be better received as a part of this community.

Either way, it usually becomes well aware to that type of person that the way that they communcate is not well received in this community. So basicallly it is either the Boards way or the Highway.

(I was hoping to have a much more meaningful post as my 100th post of my Hockey Board career, but either way POST 100 .... WOOHOO)

Edited by: <A HREF=http://pub33.ezboard.com/bmnhs.showUser ... h@mnhs>SLP Coach at: 1/23/04 4:10 pm

The RAVEst of Cowboys

He sure is negative and oh so supportive of his RAVE squad! But it is so funny to antagonize, eh?

We will see this week what kind of a squad he has. They play tartan and elk river back to back on the 25th and 26th on the back end of a 4 games in 4 nights stretch. I'll save my major trash talking after i see how they match up against those teams.

Big game tonight!

Post by CoachGuy »

Well Im sure that RAVECOWBOY will probably say his is the biggest game tonight, but after they try to beat WBL Black for the second time in a week, Tartan will try go gain revenge against WBL Orange. This will be a damn fine match up and could really have an affect on the top ten since WBL orange has already tied Roseville this week. If i wasnt playing in a hold'em tourney tonight id drive up and check it out.

MJBtartan, Coach Guy "RULES", or NTAYLOR, jump on later and let us know how your squad does tonight. We are very anxious to see.

Rave, let us know the score of your game tonight also. Not as anxious, but you might as well start posting scores like the rest of us.

...CG...but match-up? They can't hold a candle to that squad

I apologize to the rest of the readers who thinks I am getting too wound up - I am just merely trying to keep up with quick-witted and highly intelligent "Cowboy". Sorry if I am boring anyone..

Yeah rinkrat, i do think this will be a good match up. I am starting to believe whoever posted that Orange is a better tourney team then they are league. Also since many on this board have questioned the toughness and ability of Tartan they need to get revenge tonight or that game tomorrow will be even tougher against the elks...

What a game...

Post by mjbtartan »

Tartan (2) vs. White Bear (1)

Whoa, what a game. The stands were jam packed at this one, and they definately watched a hell of a game. It was up and down the entire game, and both goalies made some HUGE saves. This was the first game all season our team was outshot, 23-15, but it doesn't matter because we outshot them 39-16 last time we met these guys and we were on the losing side. It was 0-0 after 2, and we scored probably 4-5 minutes into the third period. Right after we scored White Bear goes down and scores less than 10 seconds after we did, totally stealing our momentum. With around 6 minutes left one of our guys gets on a breakway and puts a goal in while being dragged down by two White Bear defensemen. Anyways, it was a game to remember and I'm sure more than a few other teams were there scouting. This is the first time I've ever been on a Tartan team that's beaten White Bear on their home rink.

Tartan @ ER

Elk River 7, Tartan 0
Elk River controlled most of the game, lots of penalties in the 2nd and 3rd from both teams.

Do we know how the RAVERS did last night up in WBL? I have to assume that they lost cause cowboy didnt get right on and start talking...oh and a loss to BAA will pretty much put a cork in it.

Don't hold your breath for the MHL web, the season might be over before the next update.

Talked to the BAA coach tonight . . . BAA didn't win . . . neither did RAVE . . . 3-3 tie. So, in summary, RAVE is no better than BAA.

In other news, the Bloomington Police have issued an APB Missing Persons report for RAVECOWBOY! No one has seen him lately.

SLP (1) vs. Roseville (6)

Roseville came out strong and kinda put the game out of reach early...Might have been a shut out, but we had a kid put a backhand in against our own goalie.

Very good to meet you SLP Coach, keep plugging away and the wins will come.

Lastly i hope next week you might have us higher than 11th in your rankings. <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /happy.gif ALT=":D">

Edited by: <A HREF=http://pub33.ezboard.com/bmnhs.showUser ... oachGuy at: 1/25/04 8:45 pm

SSP vs IGH

Post by freighttrain »

I am here. I dont dissappear like RAVECOWBOY. We got our butts handed to us tonight. We couldnt do a danm thing right. Plus we lost our best Dman earlier in the second when it was still 2-0. We just didnt get the bounces tonight and SSP got them and put them in the net. I keep saying this but we need Ryan back without we arent the same team. Why oh why god cant we stay healthy.

Edited by: <A HREF=http://pub33.ezboard.com/bmnhs.showUser ... httrain at: 1/25/04 1:12 am
