Possible upset? How did the Packers look last night?

SSP
Last night they looked like the usual Packers. Their top line was the difference I think they had 7 of the 9 goals. They might be able to hang with Lourdes if they get a good game from their goalie and Pilot plays like the best player on the ice.

Does Lourdes have the same goalie as last year?

Edited by: <A HREF=http://p074.ezboard.com/bmnhs.showUserP ... kster27 at: 2/16/05 12:45 pm

Re: SSP
Idk who Lourdes goalie was last year but Brian Larson is in net for them this year. He's pretty shakey and is not someone i would trust in net for my team. <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... smokin.gif ALT=":smokin">

Lourdes
I saw Lourdes play earlier in the year, and their goalie was adaquate, but their strength was the play of their defensemen. They have a "soph-a-more defenseman" who was absolutely outstanding/rock solid! I don't know his name, but he really took control in the defensive zone, and had some good offensive skills as well. SSP is really going to have to capitalize on their scoring chances, because if Lourdes has continued to lock up the defensive zone, they won't get too many!

ssp vs lourdes
i think this should be a good game if south st. paul come to play the way they can. south saint paul has been very good at times this season but with there shaky goaltending they have had a hard time being consistant throughout the year. south st. paul first line is very good with crowe, pilot, and mennozi. but for like the past 4 games pilot has been playing defense for the packers, becuase there defense was struggling getting it out of the zone so he pretty much carries it out or gives a long pass to crowe flying throught the nuetral zone.

i have also seen lourdes play this year and they too lack consistancy but are very good if they bring there A game. there top line isnt bad either with jamie ruff leading the charge it will be fun to see what happens.

Re: ssp vs lourdes
I think Lourdes will come out on top of this one 5-2. from what i have heard SSP doesnt have much for depth this year. Ive seen crawly play and i think he'll be able to keep them in the game alot better than what Larson was doin. i dont know if Lourdes wil be able to take this section, but best of luck to u guys.

LHS vs SSP
LHS goalie Crowley has played two solid games of late. Goaltending is key in playoff hockey. LHS will also have to continue to stay out of the penalty box to control the game.

Home ice advantage is big in this game. LHS by three goals in this one; 6-3

hmm
Well i am willing to put money on this game and say that SSP will win. I say this becasue i will garuentee that lourdes will look at SSP record and say oo they are nothing. BUt if u arnt carefull SSP will score some goals and quick

LHS vs SSP
Not like you/SSP is looking past this game or anything!!!

I hope both team come out and play a great game. LHS will be focused on one thing when the puck drops tonight. If they stay out of the penalty box and skate hard (esp right away), play a more physical game with SSP they'll get the outcome they are looking for.

Re: SSP vs. Lourdes
If Lourdes loses this game they will be bashed for weeks. SSP has one line, and a goalie who is decent at best, look for Lourdes to try an score early otherwise it could be an upset by SSP

Mike Pilot
I know it is off the topic a little bit, but the Pilot thread was locked so I would just like to say that just one day after playing his final high school game in this loss to Lourdes, Mike Pilot played and scored a goal for Tri-City of the USHL in an overtime win for the Storm. Congrats and good luck to Mike, as well as Lourdes with the rest of this year.
