Your all tourny team
I want to know who you all thought should make the all tournament team..... A and AA or just one team all together.

Yes, I watched the entire tourney. Hummel might not have put up the points, but his team looked lost when he wasn't out there. Did you see Moorhead against them when he was in the box? He was a very vital part. And I also saw Lee get toasted numerous times. I'd pick Ammerman over Lee.
Elk River AA State Champions- 2001 Boys & 2004 Girls

My one team would look something like this, based just on the tournament performance:

G Norling, Totino Grace
G Soll (sp?), Duluth East

D Hardwick, Warroad
D Hummel, Holy Angels
D Connelly, Jefferson
D Fairchild, Duluth East

F Kozlak, Duluth Marshall
F Oshie, Warroad
F Vandevelde, Moorhead
F Loos, Moorhead
F Barriball, Holy Angels
F Schultz/Wallgren, Tartan

How can you say Lee is so much better than hummel? I will admit that he is more skilled no doubt, but in the champioship game he was like a -4.

All-Tourney
Based on the TOURNAMENT alone, Hummel played better and did more for his team than anyone on all 8 teams, not just Lee. He is the one no brainer on the list.

I suppose it could be a toss up between Loos and Johnson from Moorhead, Johnson is very fun to watch, but I thought Loos was physically on another level in the tournament. He was the one Moorhead player that really provided a spark by playing physical on the forecheck.

Re: soll over kangas
Kangas let in a total of 5 goals against 2 of the top teams in the COUNTRY, after facing what, 95 shots or so. Hes better then soll and its pretty obvious.Sall let in 9 goals in 3 games vs Kangas's 5 in 2. Depends what hed do against Tartan which probably, would be a shut out or 1 goal maybe

Kangas played Tartan during the year and let in 3 goals<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /happy.gif ALT=":D">

Its not about who is better its about who performed in the tournament. And by the way I would definately put Kangas on my AA all tourney team I just decided to take one A and one AA goaltender, i'm definately not ripping him.

i think we all said Lee along with Ammerman didnt have their best games conducting the great defense they had. and AHA took advantage of it. what more do you want.

Re: big 9 website
So he gave up 8 goals on 75 shots for a .893 save %. Not THAT convincing. But it IS a tournament award and he was fantastic, but only in 2 games. He gave up 5 goals to WBL/Moorhead, Soll gave up 6 but got a win<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /happy.gif ALT=":D">

Re: big 9 website
As much as I hate to hear the name Marvin constantly, the kid should have made A all tourney. He scored I believe 3 very big goals. AHA goalie was unbelieveable vs.Tartan,Moorehead.

LOL definately congrats to both. No doubt they were both great, as was Keaton Smith of AHA and Norling of Totino. Any 2 of those 4 could be on anyones all tourney team.

Sure are a lot of people shooting down everyone else's choices for the team. Kinda funny considering those very same people didn't even take the time to post their own choices.<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... s/eyes.gif ALT=":rolleyes">
I won't be one of them... Re: soll over kangas
PuckRanger I agree with your picks, i think they are solid. I also think that Overman from jefferson could have been all tourney, he played solid throughout the tourney and also got 4 goals and 2 assists.
