Festler's line did see quite of ice time. Sartell skated three lines the entire game and just tired out Little Falls. The shots were about 30-20. The Little Falls goalie actually came up with some really clutch saves throughout the game. <p></p><i></i>

little falls look very tried but festler took a 2 10 checking from behind at the start of the third and with his brother out not a lot of players stepping up it was a long night for the flyers. I would think if and when jarrod festler get bad the fyler will be reborn, still the best team in the section but watch out for wdc,willmar and fergus falls. should be battle down the stretch, game next week should give people a taste of what is instore for the playoffs. I would think that the willmar wadena game on tues. will be a close match. <p></p><i></i>

It wasn't a couple of years ago, it was this year that their football team went to state. They were runner-up to Totino Grace. <br><br>I guess Little Fall's loss to Sartell doesn't look that bad anymore after the Brainerd game. <p></p><i></i>

Dude, I know what I am talking about, I'm from Fergus Falls and am well aware that they freaking ROCKED this year....but....the only time that I have seen a wide reciever like Eric Decker is when Fergus Falls had Justin Arneson and TIm Erickson runnign up and down the field....only to have a 3-5 (regular season record) Sartell team stop them from going ot state at the Fargo Dome....six years ago if I remember right........I was refering to the fact that Sartell has not won much this year and now they are knocking off a very strong Brainerd team and potential State tournement team in Little Falls in two days............interesting group of athletes you guys got..........side note......the next time Fergus played Sartell in Sartell, Sartell honered that team ......it was two years later........how ironic.....<!--EZCODE EMOTICON START :smokin --><img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... smokin.gif ALT=":smokin"><!--EZCODE EMOTICON END--> anyway, back to hockey....awesome weekend for the Sabres.......good luck and make some noise........ <p></p><i></i>

St. Cloud Tech 5 Fergus Falls 2<br><br>St. Cloud 4 power play goals, Fergus Falls 2 power play goals.............it shows a lot, but listen to the game....: <br>Referees called it like a basketball game. They were calling everything including things that just happen incidentaly....BS.............9 penalties per team was way too many but was NOT the kid's falts. trust me.... <br>pretty even game with St. Cloud having the slight edge..<br>First two goals were very weak, again a different goalie played, Kalar..........some awesome saves, but at least two if not three were pretty damn weak......shots something like 30-25 St. Cloud. The Otters were making some nice passes, and setting up some nice plays. The hitting game really opened up in the second and it almost got goonish....one hit by Schwarz could be HEARD all the way up in the stands adn the victim limped off the ice....Fergus kid choke slams sct player out of a pile up in front of stands....a little something for the fans I think.......Schwarz skates up to a pile up and clearly levels a kid out of (a very objectional penalty considerign no arms whent up and the call was made after the whistle blew for the dead puck...) ... anyway, nice effort all in all, but I feel a few more saves in the text book style would've made it a different game...it seemed like Fergus pretty much killed themselves and still stayed in the game 2-0. 2-1, 3-1, 3-2 then 5-2....<br>Otters 8-9-3........at Fargo's Colliseum against Fargo North on Tuesday, they haven't lost to a Fargo team all year....... <p></p><i></i>

I agree w/ pretty much everything there, but of course I have to put my 2 cents in. Mic's hit was hardly a choke slam. he got him on the shoulder and turned him into the boards. Terrible call, but I was impressed w/ Mic's reaction. He was pissed, and most guys would've started in on the ref. He got off the ice like a banshee w/ it's tail on fire so he wouldn't do anything stupid. <p></p><i></i>

Other than a couple games, I heard refs just had a pretty bad day in general yesterday. At the SCC vs. SR game they were disgraceful.<br> <p></p><i></i>

I agree, I went to the game. They were calling penelties that weren't and then not calling ones that were penelties to make up for their bad calls. SCC spent the entire first period in the box. Lucky for them Rindelaub played solid when they were shorthanded. <p></p><i></i>

Well the Super Bowl is over, now on to the real playoffs! I've noticed this thread is slowing down a bit just when it should be heating up. Only one week left before she all breaks loose. I would like to hear some real predictions now that we are so close to tournment time. Not just the usual kid stuff, my team can kick your teams butt, let's hear why. Some teams are suffering a few injuries, illnesses, and academic probations that all can make a huge difference in the upcoming games. I would also like to hear from fans or players from teams other than the "top three". There are some respectable teams out there that could pull an upset on any given day and give the 4a semi's a whole new look. C'mon oldschool, puckswerestones, and jiggs. Time to get up. this could be a real battle this year. Let' hear from ya. <p></p><i></i>

They have also lost to Sauk Rapids and Sartell in the last month, (not exactly peaking at the right time)....<br>#2 Wadena is the most likely bet to get upset. That probably isn't saying much ( all quarter finals should be running time games) but with only a 3-0 win over Pequote Lakes and a tie to Sauk these underdogs have got to be getting some confidence. Pequote has obviously figured something out and 3 times in a season is tough (ask the Packers).....Likely Wadena will win probably handily and set up the first game of the year with....<br>#3 Fergus Falls.... The Otters are only #3 because they couldn't burry the puck against Wadena. They outshot them were up 2-0 and still lost....since then they seem to be doing a better job at putting a full game together and havn't had a real bad loss since early in the season.<br>they should skate right through the first round, however, Morris Benson is alright this year, remember Fergus needed OT to beet them last year, not exactly the double figure difference it was in the past.....they will have to be on their game...the semi's pose one of the barn burner specials in Alexandria...Wadena should meet Fergus Falls in the semis and set up a very good game, Fergus will win with their physical play when they get pissed off and solid defense that seems to be comming to. They have lost their starting goalie and coach Donoghue's method of choosing a starter is still in question even though the sophomore in his first Varsity game did a helluvajob against DL, (one game out of the seson).....Wadena wins because Fergus lost it and they were there to pick up the pieces and gladdly will take them to the championship......<br>Fergus Falls or Wadena will meet Little Falls in a classic Section 4a title game. Little Falls not only smoked both Fergus and Wadena in the regular season but they haven't been to the state tournement ever. Therefor, Fergus fans will be for Fergus, Wadena fans will be for Wadena and the rest of section 4a will be for Little Falls...<br>Wadena won last year and Fergus Falls has the dynasty of 7 wins in a row.......it come down to who wants it more and who comes to play hockey.......this should be the game of the year and if it doesn't end in OT any score will NOT do it justice...Fergus will have to feed off of it's defense and physical play, Wadena will have to outskate the Flyers to win...<br>This is a big year for all three favorites: Wadena wants a repear, Fergus wants back in, and Little Falls is in "their year" for glory...........the one team that is picking it up right now, Fergus Falls, Wadena is regrouping and Little Falls is wondering how they lost to Sartell..........good luck to all.... <p></p><i></i>

Brainerd is wondering how they got smoked by Sartell...maybe sartell isnt that bad of a squad.<br><br>Also, Sauk Centre has some pretty decent skaters on their team. Their only problem is that very few of them can actually stickhandle. They are decent skaters, but bad hockey players. <p></p><i></i>

I suppose I can comment on LF but its hard to shoot digs at other guys when your team gets beat. Anyway enough whining. LF should finally have all their players back with everybody healthy and rested going into their last two games and sections. They are not very deep so losing key players really affected their performance. LF should be at full speed and ready to go. I really doubt at this point in time that LF, Wadena, or FF will fall victim to the " bad game" syndrome. Hopefully everybody is healthy, playing their best hockey, and looking forward to some good match-ups in sections. LF stepped on their ????? these last few games so we will have to see how they respond this week. <p></p><i></i>

Wadena is #2 because they can bury the biscuit. <br><br>Wadena has two very solid offensive lines with 2 great pairs of D. I'll take a two way player like Postel over Festler any day.<br><br>Wadena will not be upset in the first round thats just silly. <br><br>The Wolverines are prov en Otter killers they've beat the Otters 3 times in a row. Wadena will probably end the Otters season in alex just like last year. <br>Do the Otters even have a goalie?<br><br>Wadena vs LF in the section final. <br><br> <p></p><i></i>

Yeah Flagman, I can almost guarantee there will be an upset somewhere before the finals. I guess that's all part of playoffs and what keeps us coming back for more. As for you, Koonta, your response is exactly what I was talking about earlier. Kid stuff. Wdc losing to LF 6-0, tying PC, tying Marshall, a few 1-goal wins; that's hardly burying the biscuit.
