puckswerestoners or what ever i disagree about you know who playing offence. I feel that Wadena needs the most talented defensemen possible around their goalie. Who would replace him on the blue line? If it’s who i think it is you know he coughs it up. Don’t jump the gun yet give a healthy Wadena team a chance to really see where their at. But with that being said if they don’t start putting the puck in the net soon by the holiday tourney go head and put him up there and see if we sink or swim.

Hello everybody, figured I’d grace you guys with my presence once again. My thoughts on the section: I don't know much about any of the teams but Wadena, and just a little more about them than the rest. From what I've read and heard, though, this section is wide open, to the big three anyway; Wadsville, LF and Fergus. There is no clear powerhouse. No team can claim anything yet because they have not played each other. I'm not gonna lie, I had very serious doubts about Wadena coming into this season, but those doubts have turned into hopes. The "pounding" they took at the iron-range wasn't as bad as it looked. Wadena was very much shorthanded (3 top starters missing), and it was the goalie's first varsity minutes EVER. They played two of the best teams in the state (both ranked in the top 15) at THEIR rinks (6-1 loss to Virginia, and 5-3 loss to Eveleth, which Wadena was ahead in most of the game). They were on a road trip, which is long and tiring, and they still held their own. Wadena always has had a tough time up in Kitson. Even when they had the big three (Merickle, Schewy, and Stearns) they lost. The Wadena goaltending has done better than I expected with a respectable 89 save percentage (much respect for the Nue kid to step up and take on the responsibility.) There are two strong lines to work with, and that’s more than enough in this section. If you think LF has the two best players in the section, you may be mistaken. Lil Jascha Pettit is a stud player, one of the top sophomores in the state, and Postell is very good as a senior. Another one to watch is Stearns, sophomore, probably the best defenseman in the section. The team is rounded off by quality players such as Cooney, Kvamme, Wolden, “No Neck” Henry, and Schmidt. Watch out for this team, they are a major contender. All I’ve heard about LF is that they’re weak in defense and goaltending. They have two good players, and after that the talent drops off. Fergus I haven’t heard a peep about. Any good players? I wanna know who to watch. Anyway, Good luck to all the teams. I'm excited to see where everybody's at for sections, cause that’s when the talk turns to walk or not, everything that goes on during the season means nothing, and the war for state begins.

Im not going to ever shut my mouth on here, thats what a forum is for, making people angry while hiding behind a keyboard, haha. wadena is gay.....lf will kill and anyway you must feel back cause sauk centre's team 2 years ago would win the section hands down...this section is a joke......if sauk centre's team 2 years ago is better than the section today...it's a sad day in section 4a.....

Fergus Falls 9 Fargo Shanley 2 shots: FF 45 FS 18...............not a bad game by the second string FF goalie...............ref's called a tight game and tried to take FF out of it early. Looks like a good win for Little Falls over Sauk Rapids.......should be an awesome game in Little Falls on Friday night...I think the section comes down to those two teams..........sorry wadena, 4-1 to a team who lost to shanley.........I don't know, the season is also long and I hope there is a great final four at the runestone..........yeah synergy, this seciton sucks, 3-3 against egf, 5-2 and 6-2 over Sauke Rapids, you need to worry more about 1a, they are really in trouble, at least up here our kids play good teams.... predictions for friday???? mine: Fergus depth will make a big difference but they'll have to watch Festler closely.........mis matching the lines will prbably work, but probably won't be needed, Fergus by 2 plus goals(probale) or Little Falls in a close one(not as probable)...........

oldschool, as history has proved you cant always go by the scores of certain games to predict the outcomes of games. for example this year, look at what cloquet did to duluth east and grand rapids earlier this year, only to go and play a horrible game against brainerd later and get beat. wadena beat park rapids 6-2 last night, and dl only beat them 6-4...but dl beat little falls 5-1. i wouldnt necessarily use scores to predict is all im saying. the fergus game this friday should be a good one. wadena plays dl tomorrow night, and st. paul on saturday.<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... s/pimp.gif ALT=":hat">

Classic: no you can't you're right, but, the games with the teams that I said all had somehting to do with eachother, Shanley beat Kittson who beat Wadena, and shanley is not that good at all.....did Brainerd play Duluth or Rapids??? did has DL and wadena or Wadena and Little Falls played, or Park and Wadena??? then it makes sense a little bit.............I know you cannot bank on games, but all I was saying is that Kittson got beaten by Shanley and I do know how Fergus is this year, now maybe there was a down night or something when Wadena played them, or they were short players or something I don't know. My main point was to tell you how they are for your tournement as someone asked before so I did. I just wanted to say that they had beaten Kittson and good luck.

using the kittson theory, grandforks beat fergus by 10 and only 3 up on kittson will fergus be a losing to kittson by 7?

I think that the otters have a real good chance to win this game. If they can shut down that top line for LF they could win by a couple. But containing that top line im sure is easier said than done. Good luck Otters im cheering for ya. LF has yet to impress me. Everything I've said about them being the early favorite I take back this section is wide open LF FF or Wadsvill could take this section. Wadena has a big game coming up against dl soon. I think that might be a good measuring stick between us and the flyer's. old school last season you said the same stuff about wadena how their not as good as the otters and how the flyer's and otters would be in the finals. koonta: Got me man, sorry didn't want to get into a pissin' match over the whole thing..........we'll see how it works out this year...oh, by the way, in this BS law of this team beat that team, wins by how much don't work..........just kidding man,(by the way, EGF beat GFRR FF tied EGF)it all cancels out. look the main point is, they beat a team who beat your team, you want to win your christmas tournement and as I see who is in it, it may come down to that game between Wadena and Shanley, It shouldn't, by all means, DO NOT LOSE TO A NODAK TEAM!!!!! I mean it sounded like with any talent at all you should be able to handle Shanley. I do however know that this year's Otter team is a lot better than last year's. I HAVE given the excuses for the bad loss, you've given the excuses for your BAD losses, give it up. I just think that if Wadena will play down to that level of hockey this year that they will not be with the class of the section. Now Little Falls has a few more BAD losses to decent teams, who knows, it just looks like it might be Fergus' to lose this year. Here is the non-BS statements I made earlier: Deep, three lines on this team can move the puck very well with a fourth always in reserve. Two goalies seeing time and it apears that the right one is starting for now, though he is being pressured. Physical, this team will NOT back down, they beat the crap out of the EGF players. Charecter, coming back with a tieing goal late in the 3rd against a very good EGF team, and killing a penalty late in OT to preserve a tie. passes werer being made, chances being manufactured and finally an Otter team that looks like it WANTS to play some good hockey. Koske looks like the surprise on this year's team, Vatnsdal (an injury is back) Goos had 5 points in the shanley game.....second string goalie played in that game, ..........big weekend of hockey, DL vs Wadena, Little Falls vs Fergus Falls...........your right again, the DL Wadena game should show where the Wolverines are with LF, oh yeah, that doesn't work....

Hey man you have got to remember how WDC did in St. Paul last year. WDC was an embarassment to section 4A you guys got your butts kicked extremely hard. Oh yeah how did your undefeated regular season go for you....thats right you didn't go undefeated. I feel that your team lost too many good seniors last year (correct me if I'm wrong). Besides the game that LF played against DL was one of the worst games I have seen them play in quite a while. I mean really the way to beat this team is to contain Festler and Lickteig without overlooking their young second line. Also put a lot of shots on goal. To tell you the truth Wadena didn't impress me much last year and I don't expect to be impressed this year either. What oldschool said last year is correct for this year wadena is not as good as the otters and the flyer's and otters will be in the finals. So good luck to WDC but they don't impress me and this will not be a back to back 4A championship. I would pick Willmar before Wadena.

hey...about last year's state tourney, WERE YOU PLAYING THERE? didnt think so, you lost to the team that got embarrassed, so would you have done better...dont think so. last year at state wadena had a couple injuries that didnt help them so much, or i feel they would have definitely beaten albert lea, but they didnt so i cant argue much more than that. i will say that i think festler and lickteig can and will be shut down by fergus on friday, and i also feel that if wadena gets match ups, they can shut them down as well. during the scrimmage in little falls, festler and lickteig wheeled around until wadena matched their first line of forwards and first pair of defense against them...after that they didnt score at all. im not one to predict who is going to play who in the section final, because i think that is a bad omen in the first place, but little falls had better improve their defense and goaltending if they want to make it out of the section. <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... s/pimp.gif ALT=":hat">

Wadena is a below average team this year and as the year progresses it will become obvious. Detroit Lakes isn't anything special either but should easly handle Wadena. Fergus looks soild and Little Falls should be a serious contender in 4A by the end of the season. Little Falls is a very young team with alot of potential.
