AHA, 2002 & 2005 State Champs!
great game
as tough as it was to cheer for AHA as a grad from bloomington jefferson, i gotta say, AHA proved something tonight....that first line of barribal, mattson, and hurley, played outstanding and that breakaway goal by barribal with the leg kick and just put it upstairs recieved a standing ovation from me, i gotta say, AHA impressed me tonight, especially with all the hype surrounding the "unstoppable" moorhead spuds

Re:
Moorhead didn't have any snipers. AHA did. And the interesting thing is it was Moorhead who had problems with AHA's speed, not the other way around. Even though the shots were 40-18, it was Moorhead's defenseman who were giving up the key odd man rushes. AHA would let Moorhead in their zone and then start to apply the clamps. Moorhead looked suprisingly ordinary at times. I also liked that play in the third period where Lee cycled three consecutive times to try and deek Barriball to no avail and then be pick pocketed by him moments later. It was a rather storybook ending given Hummel's quote in Thursday's paper about how the team had yet to play three strong periods all year and then do that to Moorhead in the championship.

A goal?
Yep! It went in the net! Yep! It was under the crossbar! Yep the Ref waved it off! NO GOAL!!

How many goal/no goals have decided state tournament games?? I would guess more than this one, and it, arguably, did not effect the outcome as many other goal/not goals have in the past. No need to whine about it, as it is written in the books as AHA 2005 Champions/Moorhead 2005 Runner-up!

Re: Riding the Pine!
Hey shutout, whats is up with all the negativity against all the AHA people? first you take shots at me, now against KodiakCHew. ou don't know anything about his situation where he plays or about himor me. Keep your personal comments to yourself....
________________________________
The STARS at night are big and bright!!
GO STARS!!

Who are you playing for???<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... s/roll.gif ALT=":rollin"> And hey slapshooter guess what, AHA WON! live with it. You guys didnt look as good, and you couldnt even score with 30 powerplays. haha. AHA wouldn't know anything about being shafted by the refs now would they? Do you remember a certain goal against centennial. O well, we are the ones with the major hardware.
Go Buffs

uh
AHA played teams up to par where moorhead wasnt really challenged and got blind sided.

i dont really wanna try explainin it if youre just gonna sit and ask stupid questions. i tried makin it as logic as possible, with it being some personal opinions.

dont forget that they would still have been down by 1... and that last goal (which would have tied it)may not have been scored

i still cant believe they won, it's terrible. About 90% of the Xcel Energy Center was cheering for us. I'm not gonna whine about the refs or anything like that, because everyone knew that the puck didnt hit Cory's stick and it was in, it's amazing why Moorhead just can't get the luck to go their way sometimes. Holy Angels played great DEFENSIVELY and in the nets, that's what kept them in it. Even though they got 6 goals only 4 of them were "good" goals, one bad goaltending mistake by hittle, but that's alright, Moorhead never gave up, it should of been 5-5, and i do believe that we would have won it in overtime, but it's over. I believe that Holy Angels will win it next year also, they only had 5 seniors on the team this year so thats a lot of seniors next year.

Go Spuds!!!!
P.S.~~Moorhead had over 150 shots in 3 games

yeah..dunno how Hittle didnt catch taht flutter. musta had some sorta change up on it or somethin cause it dove at the last second and caught hittle off guard. nice shot i guess. flukey but nice. but the johnson scandle and aha's first goal are the only thing us moorhead fans have any case of.

Move on i guess now. us spuddies vented, nothing can change. we know what REALLY happened, a possibility of what might've happened. but theres no point of explaining to it now. Even the opposition said it was a goal. Im sure the AHA fans who were waving no goal and clapping the refs, woulda done the same thing if this was for them. Its everybody vs teh refs here. game happened last night, forget about it and get ready to add another 2nd place banner to the sportscenter

well if your goalies could have done better than 66% save percentage.. maybe it woulda been different.. 6 goals on 18 shots... blame it on ur goalies not the reffs
