OK, I have your attention now. Yes this is a bad idea for a post, but you know and I know the teams and players who belong on this list, it is up to us as parents to hold these coaches and players to task and demand a higher leverl of accountability. We as parents cannot turn a blind eye and beleive...

Enough of the "feel good" posts, what's the real reason for the rule changes? Call um out who are they?

Mankato East vs West
To respond to the post by Hieronymus; come watch the Mankato East vs. Mankato West girls game Thursday night. The East coach has allowed this rivalry to go beyond hockey, East players had posted a video showing their "greatest hits" on youtube it has since been removed, athletic directors ...

Mankato West vs. Hutchinson
Hutch 4 West 3 Carlson to much for West, hard fought game though the girls should be proud it was a great play off game. Issues, officials didn't call much and lost a little control of the game from a physical aspect, but guess it's hockey. Ruckus during the hand shake, Hutch player expressed how ba...

Mankato West
The Mankato West coach stepped down on Monday after what was the most successful season the Scarlets have ever had, Big Nine Champions, Section 2A runner up, 23 - 4 record. He will be greatly missed, a great coach, respected by the parents and players and all around nice guy. Maybe Mankato will unit...

Section Alignment
Talk about sections and who’s in what always gets me fired up. You got 3A which is by far the weakest section in the state of which New Ulm should run away with the section Championship. Then look at 5A which has I think 4 of the top single A teams in the state with Blake, Breck, Mound WTonka and Or...

West vs. Conehead
Conehead; I totally agree with you better competition makes a better team however we play who the high school league dictates we play. How many metro 1A teams need to play 7th and 8th graders to field a team? How many good “Hockey Teams” does section 3A play and yet still get a ticket to state? At l...

Final West 8 Hutch 2
Not much of a game. Hutch was missing both Carlson girls and their starting goalie to injury. Near the end of the game another defenseman left via EMT’s on a stretcher, scary moment. Lower back injury.

Hutch vs West
I believe this game is going to be one of the “big” games South of the metro (1A) this season and possibly a pre-cursor to the 2A section championship. Both teams are pretty well matched. • Both have played “big” schools and lost • Both West and Hutch have two players scoring the majority of the poi...

West vs Al
Yes West won 3-1. This was a hard fought victory though. I didn’t think either team played particularly well which resulted in plenty of penalties too. Albert Lea did a great job of killing them off though. Although West is 4-0 I’ve not seen the spark in West yet like I did last year. They did have ...

Great post!
This is an interesting subject. My two cents from the South, try traveling from Mankato to the twin cities for training. To us in the South it seems (may not be reality) like those in the metro have an unlimited selection of training choices all within 15 minutes of home. Fortunately for us we have ...

Stats are stats
No matter your feeling on the matter the numbers are what the numbers are. What would the anti stats folks be saying if the teams with weaker schedules did not have multi goal games from their stars? How would the stats be viewed? My point being is their has to be a measuring stick and the most logi...

Class of 2010 goal scorers?
Looking at the stats for goals scored on the MN coaches web site I noticed a big drop in the number of goals scored by the class of 2010, this years juniors. Looking at the top 50 goal scorers from last year 21 graduated in 2008 (seniors) 17 will be seniors this year, 4 will be juniors and 8 will be...

Weak schedule? At least we're not 3A!
 Interesting you say West had a soft schedule. Does that mean teams that played West had a strong schedule? They played Mayo hard, lost 0-2 and 0-3 though  . Beat South St. Paul, Austin, New Ulm, tell Albert Lea their soft. Beat Novas (whoever they are) at the Austin tourney. Looks like ...

OMG West NP didn't look any better
 Worst game I've seen West play all year. :D Hutch played very well, had our number and wanted it way more than West. :( The better team on 2/12/08 didn't win, but hey it's hockey and it all depends how the puck bounces sometimes. West's goaly stood on her head. Look for Hutch in 2009! NP, no...

How young is to young for HS hockey?
Awesome exchange of ideas and comments; question do you see many under classmen playing on AA schools? I’m referring to 7th & 8th graders? What if she was an exception or a prodigy, would the AA coaches leave her at the youth level? We have no JV, no U14 in Kato. We ended up with three 7th grade...

Does anyone care about class A?
99% of what I read is geared towards AA school.
Makes me feel like the redheaded step child.
