Re: Already had first practice
I heard the team already had its first practice last Thursday at Breamar. To keep under the radar its advertised as a Fall Pee Wee Pre -Tryout Skate but we all know thats just a front. Any idea who ran the skate? What adults were on the ice? Which kids were on the ice? Bantam A and PeeWee A coachs ...

I suggest that you make an appointment with Mernie McHockey. His secret is to have the kids skate about 2 hours a day up and down the ice learning through repetition. If you spend money on each and every clinic he offers your son will become a solid player. You can only hope that some day your sons...

Maybe the medication wasn't dialed in. Remember, and I remind frustrated coaches of this frequently, some parents sign their kids up for sports exactly because they can't control them, or have ADD, etc. You always hear the gymnast parent say they couldn't take the kid bouncing off the furniture all...

Zach Budish out
Edina Hornet star, Zach Budish, injured his knee in a football game this week. He's scheduled to have surgery on his ACL in a few weeks and could be out for four months. Not good news for Hornet hockey fans. Or Zach Budish, for that matter. Hope he has a speedy recovery!

Listen, I did come off as a complete idiot on the whole women should not be on hockey association boards, I guess my problem comes from people who have kids trying out, and we need to take Tommy over Jimmy, because his mom is on the board, to me this isn't fair. This happened to me years ago, I gue...

I just get sick and tired of all the bull crap when it comes to hockey, and the people that have never played the game, and they become experts. I don't like women on hockey association boards, they never have played the game, however if it's Krissy Wendall or Nat Darwitz I'm ok with it. Tell me if...

Re: 61
For those interested, here is an update on the make-up of the Edina peewee A team. They have two returning A players from last year, seven players from their B1 teams (White and Green) and six players from either their squirt A team or other peewees . For the White Bear Lake fans, five of the 15-20...

This may seem obvious, but for parents who are going thru the try-out process for the first time (or slow ones like me, who forget how it works year after year)...associations should post HOW TRYOUTS WORK. Yes, they tell you where to go and at what time. But beyond that, it's a giant mystery. Gradin...
