Topic: Tryout Letters USHL/NAHL

Having played in the USHL myself I am drawing from my own experiences. I understand things have changed over the past few years but the tryouts were basically a fundraiser. The only people who made the team were tendered players, drafted players, or those with some junior experience, and sometimes a...

Can anyone give me some detail as to why he sat out last year? Hopefully he has been skating quite a bit because one year off could hurt him. The whole thing seems a bit odd to me??????

I doubt they will pair Carney and Hill. They wouldn't pair a combo that adds up to 100 in age  Also, saying that Nick Schultz is not a major loss is ridiculous. If you look at Carney, Hill, Nummelin they are all very suspect defenseman. Schultz is our best defensive d-man. Look for Burns to p...

Wisconsin over Mankato is the BIGGEST JOKE EVER! I have no ties to either team and I'm looking at this from an unbiased point of view. I have no idea how the NCAA could make this decision? This really disturbs me

This is a tough call for the Pioneer Press, damned if you do, damned if you don't. But yeah, there should have been some changes on these teams.

My vote is for Ness over Crowley. Both of these players have/had unbelieveable vision but Ness is more offensively explosive. I agree with what someone stated earlier, better than Ballard, better than Martin, etc. I played against Martin in HS and Ballard while he was at Omaha. I thought Ballard was...

That is the only post you will see from me saying, "Not impressed by a certain player." I was stating what I have seen in both cases. There are so many great players out there and there will always be a few who are overrated. I will point out many postitives as I see them!

I agree Bob, they did do some of the small things well. The game is so much more than just offense. My point is that I expected these 2 to create more opportunities and stand out a bit more!

I was just getting a thread going, obviously I was not giving an indepth analysis. How can you say leiverman had a great game? How many scoring opportunities did he generate for his team, not many. And like I said before Litchfield was non existent! I expected more from these 2 players. leiverman wi...

Not impressed

I'm not impressed with the states leading scorer Litchfield (he has done absolutley nothing,) nor am I impressed with Mankato State recruit Leiverman. This just goes to show how soft their schedule is!

This kid is in no way selfish. He has great vision and moves the puck extremely well. He entered the zone then left it - to rag time as his team was killing a penalty. Get a clue :x
