Is Highland Park the same as Highland Central? The Youth Association located in the Highland Park neighborhood of St. Paul is called Highland Central. The Association name is because of the merger between the St. Paul Highland and the St. Paul Central Youth Associations a long time ago. observer yo...

Apple Valley 3 Lakeville 5 closer game than expected. LN has 1 really solid line, their captains #4 and #3, this line controlled play when they were on the ice. LN's goalie is average on his best day, he gave a softie off his elbow in the second period. AV is thin to say the least. #11 has a beautif...

That's cute that you think that. Rosemount should be an impossible challenge. Which, by the way, had the surprise score of the day only beating Northfield 3-0.forreal wrote:Heard luverne won. Is it true they only have 9 skaters? Either way sounds
Like their next stop will be at BIG for the state tourney.

Re: Question
HockeyGuy81, Is that your answer a question to a question? I just seen on the district 8 website that that Johnson/Como cheap "A" Pee Wee team got all but 1 of 16 HEP points hardly CHEAP!!!! I also seen that the coaches on the team are the same as last year, your response without a questi...

District 5 STMA and Hutchinson qualified for regionals. Both teams seem to have walked through the district. I must have missed something...why was ST CLOUD was not part of the playoff? You are misinformed. D5 play doesn't wrap up until next weekend., St. Cloud and STMA still have one more game to ...

The first 2 teams have clinched regional spots: District 9 Rochester Red and Northfield play tomorrow for the 1st and 2nd spots in the D9. RR romped over RG and Owatonna. Owatonna being the top D9 team I saw that played in District games. New Ulm and Owatonna play and Mankato plays Dodge County. The...

Re: Apple Valley?
If AppleValley beats Eastview there should be an investigation. Apple Valley lost 10 in a row after playing Johnson/Como and finally got beat by last place Eagan to put Johnson/Como from 10th to to last, A district 8 setup so Eagan did't have to play Lakeville North. Go district 10!!!!!!! palms, i ...

D6 has 3 berths this year and D3 has 2. When District 1 was alive they offered their 3rd berth to the District with only 2 berths by having a play in game between the 3rd place teams for District 1s 3rd berth. All I suggested is shouldn't the play in game be with a District with only 2 berths (Dist...

whockey, I agree there are a bunch of coaches out there that are confused with the rules. A simple online tool on MN hockey would go a long way to helping coaches understand the rules. However, the only people that are at the rink and getting paid are the officials. $25-$35 per game(roughly an hour)...

Farmington is the real deal. It's true the defense is excellent. #3 might be the best player at this level. They are fast and move the puck well. Their 3rd line might be the weakest 3rd line of the top 10, not much of a weakness. If their bottom 4 forwards develop, this team will be playing on the l...

woodley, there IS such a rule in place. If it's MN Hockey or USA Hockey, I don't know. A team can be assessed a bench minor if its spectators are deemed to be abusive. The officiating yesterday was suspect to say the least. In one of the Bantam A games, two opposing players ran into each other "...

Arvada is from CO. They have brought a team to this tournament for a number of years in a row. They are AA team and play mostly teams in WY and CO. This team has been competitive in their schedule. They rank as 56th in Tier 2 according to Myhockey website which is fairly accurate. Not a lot of info ...
