I don't think STA can carry a Bantam B team any longer. If that's the case, and given the address of STA: Saint Thomas Academy 949 Mendota Heights Road Mendota Heights, MN 55120 I assume youth hockey players (7th-9th grade) who attend STA can conceivably become 'primary property' of the Sibley Area ...

Aside from "School Attendance" replacing "Residency" as the driver to association participation, it appears the Participation Rule still allows a program and/or player the option to waive out/in; does it not? Take a closer look (bolded text below). So if a player wanted to waive ...

Re: Stars and Stripes Tournament

I am sure you won't see a mass press release from BM's tournament this time. His two poster child teams, the 96s and 99s both lost. The 99 Blades crushed his almighty 99 Machine. Most of the game was running time. I heard the Deuce at the 96 level also got put into running time this weekend by the ...

Park has a great shot against East Grand Forks. Beyond that, I don't see them beating Blaine or Woodbury. But who knows. Owatonna will likely get outscored by a combined total of 16-20 goals in its first two games against Roseau and then the the loser of the Edina / Wayzata game. Time will tell. Sta...

you took one too many shots to the head slapshot44.... the KI kid is good (and indeed better than several Machine players) but there are many other 96ers that come to mind before him. I saw plenty of triple A play last summer at the 96 level and your boastful best of claim has little merit.

http://www.jldr.com/americathebeautiful.html Proud to be an American and darn tired of this "but we make ourselves such easy targets for criticism" angle. Take another look at the first period of the USA-Canada game and what our "docile" neighbors to the north were up to on the i...

HS Tryouts - Status of Bantam Players Bound for High School

Now that the HS hockey season has begun, tis the season of some Bantams opting up to the high school team - varsity or jv - depending upon how tryouts have progressed. This obviously has an effect on association bantam teams since their season is well underway. Any scouting reports out there as to w...

I have heard the 96 participants are pleased with the Total Hockey component. That’s a fine program with quality people. But the BO Blades are indeed a tourney type of team. Development is secondary to glitz, glammar and trips to tourneys out of town and state. Thanks, but no. What happened to the m...

Stevie... If you are going to bust other's chops on the board from time to time, you best be prepared to be knocked around (and laugh at yourself) a bit too. A little fun enlightenment with wordmanship no matter what the venue never hurts. Think twice before you "wright"! When your ...

This thread sure digressed quickly. The Cyclones evidently have people's attention (and some people's ire for whatever reason). From what I can gather, they are simply offering another quality developmental option particularly for those on the north side of the metro area who perhaps have decided to...

Slapshot88 sure is opinionated and somewhat jaded (simply based upon their comments on the board), but I do agree that D1 is indeed down (and soon to be out) with the exception of a nice team from Mpls. Park. The Storm can/will compete in the South Regional next weekend at Chaska. Aside from the Sto...

The kid you mention is #2 according to their web site. I must have been off by 2 digits. Anyhow, the Titans do have a d-man (a tall kid) that is darn good. It must be the kid you named. I'll take him on my team any day.
Too bad the Titans could not take down da' Bears.

None. D1 is hurtin for certain. Mpls. Park might win a game or two in regional play, but they are the only team from District 1 that has any business moving on from district play. None of the other D1 teams would have advanced from round one of District 6 which they will face in the regions. It's Ch...

What exactly is it that you are looking to hear? Why don't you ask your nephew's mom and/or dad? Or perhaps his grandparents? Or another sibling? Unless you are entirely estranged from your extended family, you obviously already know. What it is that you are fishing for or attempting to draw out via...

In the 1st game of pool play @ the Machine Tournament (played tonight; 8/2):

'96 Blades beat the '96 Machine by a 5-1 score.

A very nice showing by the Blades' boys, particularly after a month off after drubbing the competition in the I-Cup Invite (in June) by a 44 to 2 margin.
