I've listened to radio feeds of Roseau's 2 most important games this year (Moorhead and Warroad). In each game, the opponent has buried several goals in the first few minutes. Warroad had 2 in the first few last night, while Moorhead had a bunch (4?) in a short period of time. After that, the games...

true, but

I'm gonna go with Nothern hockey in general. Spuds & Rams have taken major steps backwards and there doesn't seem to be a legitimate power outside of the cities right now. East could be mentioned but they appear to solid, not a power. Still time for teams to hit their stride before March but so...

oliver

Maybe I am just bitter that the Rams didn't schedule Hallock 2x this season, but Coach Oliver may deserve the For Sale signs that are appearing in his yard. Playing juniors in the fall is coming back to haunt father and son now. Nothing against Nick, but sometimes the parents lose their focus and ge...

Get out a map and you will find out that Roseau is not on the Range. Closer to Winnipeg than the Range.

Re: Fix

There is not many ways to "fix" things but here are what i think are the best ways 1. Move all the private schools to AA pretty much all of them would have a decent chance to compete. 2. One class 16 teams in state 3. 64 team tournament. this way you get the best 8 or 16 teams in state. i...

I know this game is only half over, but Hill is looking like the cream of the crop this year. The rest, could be debated all summer.

I agree.

In Roseau, 3rd place is similar to taking your sister to prom. (I know, I took her to it, twice)

Honestly, no. But I did experience one of Roseau's titles. IF, IF Roseau wins third, there will still be a lot of disappointment.

AWOL? Won't we all go AWOL after tomorrow?

1) Hill wanted it more.
2) Ness was average tonight.
3) Hill's goaltending is underrated.
4) Roseau's PP was shut down.
5) Roseau's Defense was pretty shallow beyond Ness.

= 3rd Place sucks.

peace out. great board overall.

After watching Roseau have their way with a very good Blaine team, I see little hope for Hill-Murray. The transition from watching Roseau vs. Blaine to watching HM vs. LS was similar to watching a Varsity game, then a JV game. Just my very humble opinion. I agree - Hill may have played down to the ...

I'll bet the schedule was similar in 1999 and 1990.
1990 schedule used to be even weaker-Hallock twice, LOW twice, Crookston, etc.

No Park Rapids though.

roso 3-1 after the first game ending 5 or 6 - 1 Sounds about right. I predict Moorhead's soph o more goalie to be a little nervous in the first period and let in some early soft goals... Knowing Roseau, I could see Oliver leaving for Concordia. Less pressure. Better salary. Your boss is God instead...

Brainerd had a nice season. It was a tough break to be moved to 8AA this year. They would have been a 4 seed in 7AA and that seemed to be a good spot. Brainerd has a nice program with great community support. It is only a matter of time. Assuming "props" is still being used, props to Brai...

Roseau 3-0. Just watched my kid's team lose the district game that would have sent them to regionals - to a team we dominated twice in league play. Doubt Roseau will do the 'no show' (as our kids did) but a few key kids get sick and you never know... After this year's super bowl and last year's Spu...
