1. Anoka hate to put them first, they needed to stay in cities...led by John O. 2. East, yes, they need a goalie, but do have a great group of returning players, and a strong D. Rob J.led team in scoring last year and will again this year 3. Cloquet - led by Justin J. 4.Elk RIver 5. Grand Rapids los...

boblee, you must be pretty darn bored to start polls comparing high school kids. I usually enjoy your posts, but these are just dumb this is NOT espn, they are NOT pros, they are young kids who do read this and I think it's alittle bit sad that we need to cut them down I do not have any kids at the ...

The Duluth East Greyhounds successfully defended their title (last year called the Burnsville tournament) with a 2-0 shut out win over Bloomington Jefferson in the championship game this morning. East played and won the following games: Fri. 7-1 over Lakeville South Sat. 6-0 over Orono Sat. 5-3 over...

this is what we don't want to happen, the Minnesota players leaving to play jrs. early. What is wrong about staying in school, enjoying your senior year. play 30 games of elite 1, playing for a team that has a chance maybe going to a 4th state tournament and maybe Mr. Hockey. we as hockey fans shou...

He has moved to hermantown and will play with them next year. How did he look? He played solid in the one game I saw him... In the same game Joe Krause from Hermantown was in the penalty box and tried to get out & go into the stands after a heckling fan. Those Fans   Did he ...

DOesn't transfer rule apply to privates? Last name is Olson. Yes they apply to private schools. This kid would have had to apply for a transfer before the the new transfer rules were inacted. That was sometime in May. This is old news, as he did apply for a transfer before the deadline and is movin...

I believe the Elite League's mission has become diluted. I do not want to give anyone the sense that Russo and company did not have a good plan, because they did and the poster who said they are to be commended is correct. But it has not been able to keep kids in high school hockey as much as we al...

I just have one question for this league. How can it be that not one grand rapids player makes this team? It is pretty bad when players from greenway and duluth denfield can make it into thise league above some of the gr talent.  Not all kids want to play Elite HS league. If you play a...

Haven't talked to anyone yet who understands this. Just isn't adding up. tend to have to agree with you here. good numbers, but lots of kids have good select camps and still can't get it done in a big game DURING an entire year. Jake struggled last year, I watched him play, not very physical, but t...

Doesn't really seem likely that Wisconsin would pick him up after switching positions and not being able to follow him...last year he was a sub in the Elite league...seems very odd if it is true. He played D in the Advanced 17 Festival and Final 51 as well as Model Camp. He had coaches from several...

I agree with Thieves on Nico as the choice; however, it appears his name can be added to what looks to be a growing list of potential early departures for this upcoming season to the USHL: Jake Hansen Jake Youso Aaron Crandall Nick Larson Brady Hjelle Drew LeBlanc Keegan Flaherty Seth Helgeson Tayl...

Re: post 8072
Great little comment by Patrick White. Also, Tyler Johnson-Not a surprise. Size is an issue, and he has broken each side of his collarbone in the last year, hence, injuries are an issue. Reid Ellingson-A bit of a surprise, but a lot of goalies did not get selected. Drew LeBlanc-Surprise. What about...
