Apple Valley will be looking for 3 non-conference games unless they can get it waived for the upcoming season since it was already on the schedule. They were going to play in the Stadstad Hockey Classic in Grand Forks. The trip would be 670 miles. Does anyone know if it's possible to keep the trip ...

Well, it is not obvious to see Randolph saddened by losing Forbort. But its more then that. It bitterness, anger etc. I can understand Randolph's frustration, but Randolph should have offered some support for Forbort in the future. It is very obvious that he won't give Forbort one ounce of attentio...

Seems like the HS coach and the Bantam coach have completely opposite views on this topic. How do they get along? I was thinking the exact same thing, and recognizing that the East Bantam program is really the EHS training grounds, I would be very surprised if the Bantam coach is in there next year...

I whole heartedly disagree with this statement, and the other statement made about the captaincy being a popularity contest. In my opinion, the captains that I've seen voted for in GR have absolutely deserved them. Those chosen became great leaders and role models to the younger players. On and off...

My personal opinion is that in an awful lot of cases, the High School captaincy is nothing more than another perk for the team "star" and way to often doesn't necessarily reflect his leadership. IMO, kids will often vote for the player who is expected to get the award because he is going ...

My bad.....saw the reference to Jokinen above and assumed (without going back in the thread) that the conversation was about David Brown, Jokinen's teammate in Cloquet.

Re: HS Player & UMD

Good afternoon, Since the Dogs ended their season going 1-7 and sporting the 57th scoring offense out of 59 NCAA teams, how will this hurt their recruiting efforts with some of the best high school kids - ex. Brown, Saintey, etc. :?: Personally, I think the staff will find it very hard to get kids ...

I've spent a long day trying to puzzle out these last 3 years of East hockey, which have been so bizarre. 3 consecutive crushing semifinal losses, each by a single goal. Repeated disappointment and utter agony for East fans. 2 years ago, Cloquet was a better team...I'll give them that. East fought ...

I have heard a comparison made of the BCHL as being a little below the NAHL and defintiely not as good as the USHL.

Does anyone remember who the Wild's first signee was?
Your question might have had more relevance IF he had also played, rather than just signed with the Wild, although he did have a minor league career.

Once again, East outshoots an opponent by a lot...and loses. It's a trend I'm not liking much at all. They could have had more too, probably; I was getting frustrated with how long they were holding the puck, passing back and forth from point to point, at times. I'll give a lot of credit to Aaron B...
