Since you asked. Here is the video showing that the horn actually sounded and that it sounded before the puck crossed the line. I'm still not sure how it could be argued that the other officials would have any reason to overrule the ref who made the call, or, more accurately in my opinion, convince...

Please post the video, that would make everyone accept the defeat. The defeat must be accepted with or without the video. True, but could most importantly be some much needed closure for those young ladies that played their hearts out......on both sides. Agree it should be accepted (it has to be) h...

Re: Reebok HP 16s - Tryouts/Rosters

Something like 65+skaters and 7 goalies (Cha-ching Minn Hockey) You're not the only one who hears the cash register bell ring with these kind of numbers. The families of those who make the cut and represent 1A/AA at the next level "festival" will be looking at another round of tryout/regi...

The majority of these class A sections are embarrassing, what's best for the game? Terrible teams at state or back to 4 class A sections?

"Hey John and Tammy, lets get rid of Perry cause we could bring in Natalie." The other parents say, "Yeah, lets do that. I think we can make this stuff up about Perry and he would be gone." Its amazing how parents work on the sporting world. Do you think parents act the same way...

Re: open positions

Natalie Darwitz LSHS girls coach...School board vote August 9 we'll see if it's true. That could be, she does play hockey in Lakeville there with the guys sometimes! She will do well Could also be because her former HS coach is a parent in the LSHS program and was instrumental in getting the previo...

These are two great coaches in girls hockey at the high school level and both will be missed a ton by coaches and players. Thank you to what both of you have brought to High School Girls Hockey, it is better because of you two. I couldn't agree more, a big lose to the girls game, but best wishes to...

Re: Tough Missota?

That makes the comment a little bit better...but I think the big 9 went to only one round of conference games for everyone, giving them a chance to schedule better non-conference or they could play a 2nd big 9 game but as a non-conference game...not a good way to decide a conference champion.

Tough Missota?

Dominating performance by the Wingers. Could have been worse, but decent goaltending kept it close for the Falcons. Shut out Bergland, which many haven't been able to do. Competing in the tough Missota conference pays huge dividends when playing non-conference games. Wingers are on a roll! "to...

Yes C Lacombe was hurt but you can't take away the hard work the rest of the EP team put in. Don't blame a loss on one girl being gone. I wasn't at all... my favorite team has played Chaska and EP and I know how they both can play... I was just curious... I would (put the loss on the one player bei...

I'm pretty sure that this is the only tournament around in which all teams are ranked. I'm sure someone could correct me if I am wrong. So this is probably the best of the bunch?

I think teams playing head-to-head is overrated in some respects because of timing...injuries, sickness, change in lines/systems, finals for the kids, etc. all have a lot to do with how a team plays. That being said (and I know I am contradicting myself) it is the best way to look at the teams for r...

Eagan

I think Eagan has shown that they are the best team in the Lake with convincing wins over Chaska, South, and of course EP.

They have a great lineup of forwards and defense, if their goaltending holds up they've got to be the favorite in 3AA.

The rest of the conference appears to be down.

Re: Edina Coach

From what I have heard there is only one current head coach in the final 3. So I am not sure that this is going to cause a "domino effect". The final three are all very good. Who ever gets this job, Edina will have a great coach. I agree with Roman, they are going get a great coach and th...

Watch/go to the class A boys tournament...the # of fans there is comparable to what the girls are drawing. They get more but the #'s are not that far off.

Should they move the boys class A tournament to mariucci or ridder until they get more fans?

You would think so, if Faribault is truly the greatest.

After seeing Faribault get dominated by LV North and South (2 not so great AA teams) on Friday I don't see how anyone can consider them a contender.

1AA

The first Friday of the season, Farmington and Faribault are scrimmaging North and South (so the 1A vs 1AA can be broken down by the Faribo faithful). Mayo and Century are coming to Lakeville to play North and South after Thanksgiving. North and South will play Farmington at least once during the ye...
