This found on CBC sports: http://www.cbc.ca/sports/hockey/ourgame/story/2009/05/05/sp-goalie-gear-change.html Not only specs out pads, but catch gloves and blockers. Change in Canada taking place with this coming season. I can only assume that USA Hockey is adopting same (or very similar) standards

There are a few misconceptions about Shattuck. The girls are on the ice Monday thru Friday for 75 minutes...not twice a day but yes way more than most teams.
