1. Hibbing 2. Virginia 3. I Falls 4. Marshall 5 and down. Don't matter. Maybe this is the way it will be in the end, but I don't see how I Falls would be ranked ahead of Marshall when Marshall beat Greenway and Falls lost to them. Okay, but the Falls beat Virginia..... Maybe not the rankings as of ...

Hibbing should be moving up in the polls after a win against Virginia tonight.

Falls is overrated. Hibbing has to be the front runner in 7a at this point in the season after big wins over I Falls, Marshall, and Virginia.

Congrats to the Jackets! This should help them out in getting the number one seed come sections. At this point in the season, they look like the team to beat in 7a. Anybody have the scoring summary from the game?

Sandelin from UMD was at the Hibbing/Duluth Marshall game. Also saw a scout from Mankato there, possibly looking at Mausolf(at the time) and Jamnick.

UWS @ CSS 1-17-09

I don't know if anyone follows D-3 hockey, but an interesting matchup for those around Duluth on Saturday. #2 ranked UWS travels to Mars Arena to take on the #4 ranked Saints in a big NCHA/D3 game. Anybody skipping out on Bemidji/UMD to watch this one?

Nice research PuckRanger.
With Hibbing coming off a game against Cloquet the night before this one, I think Virginia will have the depth in the third to beat the Jackets.
Virginia 5
Hibbing 3

You are like a Liberal democrat. You have a view therefore "reading" my comments didn't occur to you, but finding another reason for them not to be valid was the concern. I didn't say that those who have won weren't worthy. On the contrary, they may have been as well as at least 20 others...

Mr Hockey --Me? No. I couldn't wear the jock of the top 50 players in this state. But I do know good ones when I see them. Maybe that is my problem. I'm impressed with too many of them. I think the players might surprise you with their votes (and wouldn't that be the point). Hockey players are pret...

Aaron Jamnick from Hibbing would be a good addition to a division one team. He has yet to sign on anywhere and a recent article in the paper said he wants to play in the WCHA.

This is the stupidest and most political athletic award given in Minnesota sports. There is no way to fairly measure the 20 players who deserve to win this award. There are six different positions played by many talented players against a far too diverse set of competitors. This is what is wrong wi...

You'd could try working out something where the WCHA would take Bemidji and one other team from the CHA and have another conference step up and take the remaining two teams. I think Bemidji would be a good addition to the WCHA. Easy place for teams to travel to cost wise compared to flights to Alask...

I wouldn't mind seeing Bemidji in the WCHA. They play numerous WCHA teams already and hold their own. They are better competition than Michigan Tech. A strong conference and new rink will help out recruiting, also.
