How do the Gophers keep letting these kind of players slip through the cracks? Big kids who move well and have cannons aren't a dime a dozen. Another question is how did UMD let this player from their own backyard slip through the cracks? sandelin spends too much time up in camrose to care about ki...

I think Woodbury's a nice team. David Eddy is a great player. I also like #23 and, for some reason, #3 (LW on 3rd line?). #3 is small but he's a mucker, I like him. But BSM will be too much for Woodbury; BSM will win by 3-4 goals. 16 Taylor Kobayashi for Woodbury is kind of a hot dog :) http://www....

I've found the story interesting because it shows the good and bad of leaving H.S. hockey. For players out there thinking that they'd like to pursue hockey at the highest level you get the other side of it including the fun things that you miss. Leaving home, school, classmates and friends behind t...

Dont cost, Are you saying that a kid should not reach for his goals because his friends might get mad. That is awful. When he gets a promotion at work should he not take because his co-workers might get mad? The kids that are leaving want more than a 26 game season, better competion, and for the mo...

1. No one said that you said he was unworthy. 2. Did Lucia tell you that they didn't have room for him? 3. If so, could it be they made a mistake on their previous commitments? 4. If Gardner called DL and said I want to be a Gopher, I bet he would have been a Gopher. Did they turn him down? 5. No o...

Predictable -a high end player that doesn't come to UM because there was no room for him. Nobody said he was unworthy. I could understand your whining if that had been said. I know you are poor with facts but let's point out something so you can get it. Gardiner committed at a time (June) when the ...

My Prediction is Ness will drop to the late 5th round or 6th by the time the Europeans are included and the GMs get cold feet about his size on draft day. He would have a hard time moving anyone out of the front of the net in the NHL, which is a big part of defense. He may be good in HS but he does...

maybe Lucia saw him too much as a foward and didn't watch him as a D before he was snatched away by the badgers, or maybe he doesn't want another Erik Johnson leaving after one season of play The main thing being there was no roster opportunity to recruit him for as the Gophers only lose one d-man ...

According to this , it looks like the big complex is a no-go. I didn't know Woodbury said no to any development - ever. That's interesting. Seems to me Mr. Ness is worshipped as a God in Roseau :D That's really cool how they have open hockey for the younger players and how they don't have to pay anything to play. If only every community was like that, we could create some really good hockey players. I noticed the community built a 3rd ...
