Re: Games 12/13
All of the buzz about Duluth East seemed to have jinxed them as they for pretty much the entire game were dominated by EP who were up 4-1 and ending in a 4-3 win for the Eagles who have now won 3 in a row. Shots were 31-27...... And no one had buzz on DE. Just vastly improved over the past 2 years....

Re: A Rankings for 12/7/25
What is the overall sentiment on Proctor? The Bantam team took a bit hit with the freshman moving up, but how have those freshman and sophs looked thus far on varsity. Not much left in the pipeline, so these 2-3 years might be their last chance at putting something together after a few solid Bantam...

Re: Games 12/9
Sorry, EP over Shakopee gets upset of the night. After rolling Hibbing, the Sabres come home and lose 0-2 to what was supposed to be a bottom feeding EP team. EP takes down two top 10 teams in the span of 4 days.

Re: Games 12/6
Eden Prairie 5-4 in OT over Maple Grove. EP, which hadn’t won coming into game but was scoring at a 50% clip on the powerplay, scored on their first four power plays of the game. The only PP MG killed was EP’s 5th one of the game. MG was better team even strength, outscoring EP 4-1 (EP’s lone even ...

Re: New jerseys this year?
So far, I know that Mahtomedi and Stillwater have switched over to Gemini (Stilly already had a home GA jersey), anyone else know what teams have new uniforms this year? EP still with GA, but their home whites with the new EP in a sort of crest thingamajigy is in my opinion a 3/10. I suppose the ne...

Re: Games 11/25
I wouldn't read too much into the Hill EP game. Eden Prairie scored 3 goals on the powerplay, which is impressive. Nothing wrong with getting a little penalty killing experience early in the season if you're Hill. I remember reading that EP has a few freshman on the varsity squad. Will be interesti...

Re: Games 11/25
HM playing their first game of the year looking really good against EP. STA beats up 5-0 on Holy Angels The HM-EP score isn't too shocking (the cupboards are pretty bare at EP - it's going to take a couple years to rebuild and be a decent team again), but the STA/Holy Angels one is. The cupboard ce...

Re: AA Preseason Rankings for 2025-2026
Was anyone up in Hermantown lately? I heard the cities teams went all the way up there for a scrimmage fest and Hermantown dropped the news that their ice was let's just say "insufficient" so teams ended up practicing power plays and kills on half ice. I'm not joking either. Imagine going ...

Re: A Preseason Rankings for 2025-2026
A couple surprises on Hermantown's roster- -A bantam-eligible player is on the varsity roster (Zhukov). I don't ever recall a bantam moving up there, will this be the new norm? -Three top sophomores have left the program. (Nash and Wise to AAA, Hedley to Rock Ridge.) -Only two goalies on the entire...

Re: Single A preseason top twenty
Any updates following the slew of scrimmages this weekend? Albeit, it was the first scrimmage of the day Northern Lakes won 2-1 against EP's "A" team in a physical grimey game. They bring back a lot of kids and they showed a lot of energy out there. They should be another team to watch in...

Re: HS Elite League Rosters
You’re talking HS Elite League I assume and nowhere in my post was I talking about the HS Elite league. I’m talking about CCM HP and BEL/PEL that YHH runs. So, if you can prove me wrong that this isn’t happening there I’ll eat crow. Subject: HS Elite League Rosters No place to gripe about Minnesota...

Re: HS Elite League Rosters
What's also interesting in all of this depending on how you look at it is that everyone seems to be double dipping. Meaning they are all signed up for the same stuff and in doing so essentially means they are going to miss half of the sessions because they are also attending something else. So, you...

Re: Transfers 25-26
Movement on the girls side is just as if not on par with the boys. I just don't get it. Take the twins that decided HF was the next best thing and transferred there only to have one make varsity and the other make JV. Good job, parents and girls. You played significant minutes as 8th graders and cou...

Re: 2025-26 Transfers
Believe that EP will have a couple of new faces, including one from the past that took a couple year detour in the Detroit area that appears to have made his way back..... RJ Thompson is back in EP, yes. Another former JR King in the mix too, but is still up in the air on whether he makes the varsi...

Re: Chanhassen Cutting players from Captains Practice
Captains practice is essentially a funding operation outside of obvious preparation for the upcoming season. It's nearly unheard of for programs to not take as many kids as possible as it's 600-700 a pop, which goes a long way these days. Is Chan that deep this year to do that?

Re: Cretin
Appears both Chorlton and Max Anderson gone as neither were named as captains. Big loss for the Raiders. Celski also gone from WBL. I would have thoguht all 3 were B&A candidates. I thought the increasing age of D1 rosters would increase likelihood of kids staying in MSHSL through Sr. Year and ...
