Edina should field a solid Bantam A squad next yr - as they won Peewee A , Peewee B and also came in 2nd as Peewee B 's two yrs ago - I wonder if the politics have already started to make that team !

So if communities are merging to remain competitive, is it still community based hockey? - it seems to me they are just AAA teams

Top Tier AAA Teams

I coach a local baseball team. I have a Blades player on my baseball team. This Blades player was told by his Blades coach that he had to attend all Blades practices and games. Therefore, he has to miss all conflicting baseball games and practices. We just played a baseball game for 3rd place in a l...

If MN Hockey switched from a school grade based program to a birth year based program, but kept everything else the same (community based, ABC levels .. etc) Wouldn't that allow MN to compete in youth level national tournaments ?

That may be something MN Hockey could consider.

1 team vs 2 teams

If your kid plays on the Edina White or Edina Green Bantam B1 team, (or WBL Black/Org or EP Black/Red for that matter) how do you feel about having 2 teams representing your association at that level? Are you bitter that Burnsville, Minnetonka and Stillwater chose to field one B1 Bantam team, when t...

I heard St. Cloud was not called for any penalties when AV played either of their 2 teams in the tournament and was sent to the box for some pretty bad calls. Was not there just what I heard, I know someone else said they had horrible ref's also. What has happened to the days when you tipped your h...

I would vote yes, why limit it to public schools ? It would give more kids, more opportunities to play. It would however reduce the size of some of the public school based associations. Hopkins and Mpls*Park seem to be particularly keen to reducing their numbers even more. A question though, how wou...

Re: Edina Squirt A

The Hornets went 5-0 and won their tournament this past weekend. Outscored opponents 32-4 and recorded 3 shutouts. Held White Bear Lake to 8 shots and won 5-0. Outshot Lakeville South 32-9 (19-2 in the 3rd period) and won in the title game 3-1.<br>Clearly, this was the best Squirt A team in the sta...
