Also, look at enrollment sizes on the mshsl website, Mahtomedi could move to AA based on the top 64 enrollments.

Re: MSHL 2 Class system

So while I would rather see the Class A tourney be made up of small schools from smaller communities, I can't fault the small private schools for taking advantage of their opportunity to compete at the State level that their enrollment allows. To me, personally, the issue isn't with them taking adv...

Are you sure? They made the the AA tourney in 1998! Did they play Class A for 4 years and move up in 98'. I thought they played AA while Warroad played A and made the Tourney from 94'-97'.

MSHL 2 Class system

Here are some observations on the state of High School hockey since the decision to go to a Tier and then class system. The tier system failed because it was only based on record and not school size, so while there was small schools in it, you also had a school like Rosemount make it. Now the Class ...

Get rid of being able to change off an ice. Seems to me that whenever these kids get into trouble they just send it. Enforcing them to stay on the ice and not be able to get fresh legs out there would change that. I'd like the icing rules to look more like the college icing rules. If a player from ...

They may have been rated #1 Sachichi, but they certainly weren't the best team in the state. CSC is one heckuva conference! It showed friday night when the goddy boys werent ready when the puck dropped. Really? The conference Hill plays in had very little to do with the Loss! You are right, they we...

SO stpaul in a cense your statement basically says that if you don't go to Hill and play hockey you have no chance of scoring higher then a 29 on your ACT score? A teammate of my son scored a 35 and he went to a public school. Was offered a full ride to Purdue. How was that possible at a public sch...

UPSET? Not likely, sure a hot goalie can steal a game but I don't think Roseville will get by Hill. I have only seen about 10 High School games this year, and from what I read EP and Hill are considered 2 of the top 5 best teams in the State. I did go to the EP Vs Hill game in Jan., from what I saw ...

First of all, the called Sections, not districts. Second, the is movement within in the Sections every few years. I'm not positive what year exactly but Wayzata was in Section 5AA playing against Blaine for the section Champ. and Centennial was in Hill's and WBL section within the last five to seven...

I agree that sometimes the sections are not equal, but based on location the sections are fair. The fact is every year is different and you can't keep switching up the sections just because some of the best teams happen to be in one section. I wish there was a fair way to get the most quality teams ...
