EP had 6-7 girls from other communties on the last championship team during this time period.
They were more like a private school back then.

As long as the system allows it to happen, it will. As soon as the process loop holes are closed, it won't. A bit of a simplistic view, but it's reality. There will always be loopholes. The truly motivated will find a way to exploit them. We can all name a number of examples of this. I'm not a fan ...

Can Sec 4AA still be considered toughest in the State? How does HM stack up talent wise this year versus Roseville, WB and Stillwater? Well...I think before long, it's completely plausible that CDH will become a stronger team consistently and battle the top dogs in the SEC. We will see. Might be tr...

Never was a chance to get one of the mentioned girls. They would only accept applications from people that had been head coaches. Jamie will do well. When the tallent leaves he leaves! But having said that he does promote his girls better than almost any other coach around, Morris and him were both...

There are a lot of successful parent coaches at the high school level. IMO that should not be an issue, especially since the EP AD Mike Grant was also a parent coach. My daughter played for the Orange Crush, and Gino Peluso was her favorite coach -- taught her more about the game than she learned f...

Re: Stepping Down
What is the story with EP? I was told this afternoon, the Head Coach was fired after their 1st round playoff game. Any truth to this? All MGHCA coaches received an E-mail today from Tim Morris saying he is stepping down from coaching EP. http://www.mngirlshockeyhub.com/news_article/show/89370?refer...

High school hockey is less expensive as compared to traveling teams so I don't think money is a driving force in their behavior. It's frustration that they have lost power and control over what, where and when their kid plays. They probably don't have the direct access to the HS coach as they did th...

Parents
The reality is that this trend of coaching change over in girls hockey will happen every year until something changes with the parents being allowed to do whatever or say whatever they want, even if what they are saying is false or inaccurate. I know a lot of these coaches who have stepped away thi...

Wrong thread bluewhite....this is about open coaching positions. Any news on Chaska/Chan from anyone? Why is EP still being talked about, their coach is still there last I heard. Topic's been going for a page and a half and you call me out? Simply questioning attacks started by others. I'll go away...

I was wondering how long it would take for someone to shoot down the rosey picture BeenAround painted. A couple of diffrerent opinions there. Let me get this right. CN can coach girls U10,12 and 14's but can't be a HS coach? The Edina Varsity girls have finished runner up 2 years in a row . Edina V...

Minnesota Girls
Is Minnesota State (Mankato) not recruiting girls from Minnesota? I don't see anything listed about them. No more Foreign born players at taxpayers expense. Mariucci told Bob Johnson to recruit Wisconsin kids for his program when he started out. He didnt and took the easy way. I really appreciate w...

Re: Jon Dundore
He'll be a great fit for AHA. Best work ethic out there. Who's that? Holy Angels names new head girls hockey coach Richfield, Minn. — (March 15, 2011) The Academy of Holy Angels (AHA) has named Jon Dundore as its head girls hockey coach beginning with the 2011-12 season. Dundore has served as assis...

JV/ Varsity vs 14's
I don't think you can put all U14's and 12's in the same boat mentally and physically. The best U12's can move right on to a top AA or A HS team. One season I had a below avg U12A team but had the best power play in the the District. We lost to the the eventual State champion twice by one goal due t...

Warroad did beat Roseau by a 4-0 score and everyone picks up a point. Although several predictions on the score were very close, nobody got it exactly right so now our logjam is at 3. On tap tonight is a single game between White Bear Lake and Stillwater. Ten out of eleven of us have Stillwater com...

2010-2011 Coaches opening positions
I heard 4-5 interviewed for for Holy Angels but they did not like any. Strange...you think that anyone who wanted it applied. There is slim pickings out there.
