Re: HM
Disappointed to read Lechner's response. He would rather stay and benefit from his advantages then be in a conference with similiar programs and have to be forced to compete. From an alumni perspective, this is sad. Disagree. The CSC is a good fit competetively for HM for all sports except hockey. ...

Section 1 would be higher if you take the Shattuck players out. The talk is that the Shattuck players already have a spot on the final 54. You have to wonder how many spots are even available and what the process is? If the players are being evaluated why aren't they given some form of evaluation o...

Sounds right to me. I have heard of associations usually the bigger ones that once a player gets to the Bantam levels have been told if they are enrolled in a private high school they are unable to make the top teams within that assocation. If I was a high school coach I would want to develop the t...

Woodstick I'm with you on this one. I coached A bantams for years and still talk to allot of the players that are playing high school hockey. Several of them have told me that there coach tells them that certain kids shouldn't skate off the ice. One actually quite because of it and it was his senio...

To this day, that incident made a positive impact on the safety of our game in Minnesota. Parents, coaches, and officials from all over the state are extremely sensitive to dangerous body contact plays. As a whole, coaches at all levels are doing a great job of teaching proper body contact…thus cre...

Re: Chirping for coaches
NEVER Why not Herb Brooks did! Everyone wants to be like Herb. I don't believe Herb was ever a High School coach. If the opposing player is an adult, that changes the perspective. Chirping a high school student, or younger, is not appropriate. I understand "heat of the moment" but not a s...

Yes, our state uses out-of-state evaluators to send players from our affiliate to the District camp. I'm not sure why that automatically means favortism. In almost all cases, these evaluators have no clue who any of the kids are. The evaluators we use are NCAA coaches. D1 assistants, an occasional ...

Something smells only a handful of kids from Northern MN... Becoming Twin City Hockey not MN Hockey. The 96 HP List and birth year is comprised of sophs and frosh. The soph class from northern MN has a lot of upper end '95 talent and you will find them on the 95 HP List. The '96 group from northern...

No Jake Jeremko or Mitch Reinke?? Jeremko was the best player on Section 7, made it to national camp last year... And Reinke is a very crafty defenseman. Other wise, pretty good job. Zack Mills didn't make it from Hill Murray, made there JV team as an eighth grader and seen some varsity time this y...

I highly disagree with you. I just recently watched him and the Sibley team play and Versich and Koumontziz were the best on the ice. sitarz is the best player in the state in my mind and also i watched sibley play this year and only players that stuck out were #9 and #10 #9 is the only good player...

I have noticed very many Sibley players throughout the previous thread. I have watched Sibley a few times this year and they are a bit overrated if you ask me. They have one or two good players. I noticed number 9 and 11. Besides those two, there were no other standouts, and there record is barely ...

Does it really matter whether it was a good call? Whether the ref overreacted? Isn't the point that almost a week after the Jablonski tragedy ...nothing has changed? Re: Under the heading... ONLY IN EDINA
A buddy of mine called me the other day and told me a story about an Edina B Squirt team that, after advancing to the Championship game on Sat., had tournament T-shirts made for the whole team. It said "Champions" on them. Then came Sunday and the "Championship Game". They of co...

I feel for you - with only 60 kids interested in skating during the summer ten years ago, you never got an opportunity to see how mediocre your boy was. Who are the Chef's? Is that the coach that makes his team wear those tall white hats to the rink? Inigo your one of those parents! Look my kid pal...

Re: AAA world - is there enough talent - are the teams dilut
Ok - I have a questions for you all that are in to the AAA world (talking boys hockey). I have been out of the AAA world for a number of years. To my absolute amazement. Mid-2000's, there were the Blades, Spirit, Rockets, Metro Wings, Raptors, Northern Wings, Lake Superior Stars, and Lightning - oh...
