[[/quote] Want to explain to me how Shaughnessy wasn't a strength in tonights game? Anyone? WB may not have generated that many opportunities, but when they did - they had no chance. Shaughnessys underrated, that's all I have to say. And Carney... Not impressed. Noticed he was in the wrong place a l...

Sounds more to me that the player's dad needs his son to make a team. So if he can't make the team of choice he will bully his son's way onto a team that at least his son has friends on. Good for the kids, they will enjoy their teammates. Too bad for the parents who are now forced to deal with anot...

Wherever you are is the biggest. For the most part, I agree. However, there are a few rivalries out there that are consistently mentioned as great, even by those who have not seen them. These ones tend to come out of schools where hockey is a very important part of the culture. The whole school fee...

I agree with a lot of the earlier posts. 1. Although I didn't see the first 8 minutes of the game (presumed to be dominated by BSM), I thought HM was the better team. They dominated the 2nd period and had the better chances in the third and OT. 2. The BSM goalie was outstanding. I love the way he t...

Re: Question for coaches regarding player selection
When grading a defenseman, could you give your percent of importance for the following attributes of a player? -Skating (backward, cross overs, transitions ect) -Passing (accuracy, velocity) -speed and decision making -Physical presence -attitude and coachability Thanks. What level are you coaching...

I thought JD Cotroneo was solid all night. Kevin Becker, and Ben Bahe really picked it up after about the 1st period and stood out along with Faust. Besse didn't do much though saved the game with the backcheck late in OT , Horn is legit, and very surprised at the lack of depth by BSM. Thought Coac...

Good, i hope they are all there and on top of their game. Could be a good one. HM has some serious speed up front and conditioning tonight showed. That G spot is very questionable. I just don't think WB or most teams have the conditioning that HM has until late in the season though so they might not...

It clears up my point that G is not a strength for HM. BSM played very good first period, controlled the boards, and got a few shots on net and a couple went in, almost two others, but they ran out of gas. We got the home ref again, four unanswered penalties, including a boarding??? the one ref just...

Probably not Altricher's best game - 2 softies - and not a lot of great chances by Breck. He's had more game like this than not. He's never been as good as the hype or expectations of him. Average at best, and quite often not average. But WOW, STA surprises me, and i guess Breck did too, i would ha...

I thought the ref ( a former Pioneer) made the right call.... LOL - that's funny. but, a hill guy like myself knows when the better team won. Wb got screwed. I was right there, just behind it and to the side and had a great view, I couldn't believe my eyes. The ref was right there too. They p...

and all of Hills goals in the playoffs were such highly executed skill goals right? no one else could ever pull those off. You missed the point, someone calls G a strength? it isn't, every team gets some weak goals but for hm that happens when you get 30+ shots and many high quality ones and out sh...

Should be a good game. The bears have looked pretty good so far this season dispite the loss of goaltending. Schletty and Jordan are stepping up and filling in to make a difference in between the pipes. Wahlin, Jansen, and Birkenbine are extremely talented and should be able to bank a couple goals ...

In my opinion it is better for the player to play bantams because they can be one of the top players on their team and also be a leader. I also don't think its fair for a kid who can play bantams to take a spot from an older kid who cannot play anywhere. i agree with first part, but eventually a be...

Hill vs Cretin and leotolstoy
any update on the hill vs. cretin scrimmage? leo: nice response on the other thread, i'm a hill fan BUT didn't two or three of the four kids kicked off last year immediately bolt and leave the "roman catholic" rhetoric behind - for??? hockey! Sorry, i don't like to get negative on these bo...

AD pull strings?
Why doesn't the AD just apply the rules fairly, fball or hockey or anything else, wouldn't that be the right thing to do. If the kid is cleared to play then so be it. What does the AD have to do with it anyway? and why pull strings? I don't care to read the 100+ but wouldn't it be obvious to those a...
